This hotel is in a great location and only a few minutes walk from Bayswater tube station. It is within walking distance of Portobello market and Kensington. We tend to walk instead of using the tube so found ourselves walking through Hyde park and Kensington gardens a lot. Which is only a 5 to 10 minute walk away. The staff...

We arranged a trip to meet up with some old friends, visit an exhibition at the V&A and just generally wander around places we know and love in London, the price was an important consideration for us as funds are tight these days so we weren't expecting a great hotel, just a clean and habitable one. On arrival, we knew...

Enjoyed a very pleasant stay here - perfect for exploring Portobello Road, Notting Hill, Kensington and Bayswater areas. Located in a quiet square, with easy access to public transport, this hotel offered comfortable, tastefully decorated rooms. While ours was not overly spacious, it was well appointed and perfectly adequate. The staff we met were all friendly and happy to help....

I stayed here during a workation in the end of january. I stayed in a suite, which was very spacious and comfortable. However, all the suites are located on the ground floor (which is okay) but the view was not very nice. I had my window blinds down all the time because I didn't feel comfortable with the possibility of...

It was a very good area. Breakfast was not so good .the first day gave us a room that was in the basement with no windows. But fortunately we asked them to change our room and the other was much better clean but quite small. The staff was very polite.

Stayed on night for a post work evening stay over. Lovely staff. Very clean. Requested quieter room at end of building which was duly implemented. 5 mins to tubes or bus to central London. Good facilities and breakfast was great. Continental but lots of choice. Great value hotel would definitely recommend.

Spent a comfortable night in a basement room with very large bed. Welcomed by friendly staff. Continental breakfast was sufficient. No problem leaving our luggage in secure room to pick up later and keeping behind reception our more expensive shopping.

Stayed for one night. When we returned to hotel at approx.11.30 pm no one was on the reception desk. A small hand written sign said 'back in a minute'. We waited patiently. Another guest came from her room as she wished to let receptionist know she had helped herself to her room key as there had been no one there...

The hotel is in a great location for London standards as the distances are so big. Your close to everywhere so it is ideal. It is also in a nice area so there are a lot of things to do close by. I was disappointed with the rooms they were very small and we had an attic room so kept...

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighbourhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
