Book in last minute after not wanting to leave London and just needed to have somewhere to crash. Typically you get what you pay for but for the small price I paid the hotel was fantastic and well worth the check in. Staff are very approachable and friendly and one to mention who was very kind and prepared me some... More

Me and my boyfriend stayed at Z at Gloucester Place for a long weekend and we really enjoyed everything about it! The rooms are spacious, clean and totally new; beds are huge and comfortable; the idea to set up "the club" treatment in one of the hotel buildings is great and we enjoyed a lot the opportunity to have a... I have just returned from a short visit to London, having stayed in a small, friendly and welcoming hotel. The staff were very warm, always willing to help and with a ready smile. The room, though small, was well-fitted out, with a very comfortable bed...... almost better than my bed at home!!!, spotless bathroom, and, even although it was situated... More

Stayed for one night on business on a Sunday night, everything was great from check in to my upgrade to a 'junior suite'. Great kitchen to get cheese and wine and the lady looking after us in the social space was brilliant

The hotel is centrally but quietly located 5' walk from Marble Arch and Baker street station. The room (queen) was very small, but its minimal design makes a relaxing atmosphere. The bed was fantastic, matress-pillow- duvet all very comforrable; you wouldn't even realize there is somebody sleeping next to you! Breakfast served for about 9.99 gbp was of good quality... More

Having read the comments from MJL below, I can certainly sympathise with their views about the rooms themselves. Strangely, my room was big enough ( single occupancy ) but the room still felt cramped. This was because the king sized bed was far too big for the room and the glass door between the room and the en suite opened... More

We were very disappointed with the Z Hotel. We booked the Queen room for our elderly parents expecting the room although small to be an adequate size. The receptionist at check in was unapproachable and unhelpful and we did not receive a warm welcome feel to the place. Nor did they explain what facilities were available in the hotel. The... More

This hotel is in a great location, lovely friendly staff, Pedro was really nice. The room was very clean although quite small and it was difficult to walk around the bed but was okay for one night. Queen sized bed very comfortable. We were invited to a complementary cheese and wine buffet from 5pm til 8pm but we couldn't make... More

good location, close to 2 subway station, you can easily reach all the main city attractions. clean rooms, friendly staff. breakfast was not included in my rate but a decent buffet was offered at a very reasonable price. I wish a had a frigo bar in my room and a bathrope would have been nice...but everything else was fine and... More

Booked a last minute two night stay due to a different hotel we were staying at being appalling. Best decision choosing this hotel. Staff very polite and welcoming. Clean all around and comfortable bed. We had a great weekend, and was nice to stay somewhere so peaceful too. Will definitely be staying again in the future when we visit London.

Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
