Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I booked a queen standard room and was starting to get a bit worried after reading some reviews regarding the size of the rooms. I have to say we were pleasantly surprised. There was room for a coffee table and tub chair beside a writing desk and chair, mini bar, chest of drawers and a very spacious wardrobe. There was minimal space to get to the other side of the bed but there was enough. We didn't take anything from the minibar due to the prices but we did put things in to keep them cool. If you do this too remember to check if you have been charged for taking something out at checkout. There must be some kind of sensor as we were charged £5 for something. In the wardrobe was an iron, ironing board, hairdryer, umbrella, slippers and bathrobes. There is a temperature control too. A blessing for those of us who feel the heat more than others. They could do with one of these in the bar area. The bathrooms were a bit on the small side but still enough room to do what you need to. There were plenty of towels and the water pressure was really good. The rooms and other areas of the hotel we saw were spotlessly clean. Two things that make this hotel really stand out are the staff and the breakfast. The staff were all really lovely and very professional. We met various staff members throughout our stay and they were all wonderful. The breakfast is on another level compared to any other hotel breakfast I have ever had. There was truly something for everyone. You could order off a separate menu for omelettes, eggs benedict etc... Otherwise there was a great selection on the buffet. The usual hot breakfast, cereals, yogurts, toppings, breads, bagels, cakes, pastries, mini sausage rolls, quiche, fresh orange juice and I think I saw salmon too. The location is really good. Just around the corner for the Royal Albert Hall, the natural history and V&A museums. And don't forget the parks. Bus stops and tube stations are close by too which takes the hassle out of travel. The hotel is having a bit of a refurb at the moment but this did not impact on our stay at all. All in all we had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back again, especially for breakfast.

We were made very comfortable in our pleasant and spacious room. All mod cons including a Nespresso machine. Well stocked mini fridge. Modern bathroom with excellent shower. Good quality toiletries and generous towels. We didn’t stop for breakfast, so can’t comment. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Location is super convenient for The Royal Albert Hall. If we return for another concert we will definitely book again at The Queen’s Gate.

Excellent hotel stay. A very short and safe 11pm walk back from a concert at The Royal Albert Hall. Bar was open until 12.30am but unfortunately no coffee was available. The room was quiet, facing inside the hotel, not roadside. The bed was beautifully made - as wrinkle-free inside as outside the duvet. Unfortunately the cooked breakfast the following morning was dire. Bacon had barely touched the grill, mushrooms were floating in some liquid and looked like they had come out of a tin. Sausages were only just cooked. Bacon and sausage need to be cripsy and appetising! There was, however, a fantastic selection of breads, cakes, pastries and fruit.

We loved this hotel. The staff could not have been more helpful and polite. The room was beautiful. Spotless bedroom and bathroom. The room was serviced to a very high standard. The towels and bedding were luxurious. Tea and coffee etc all good. The breakfast was perfect. It's in a great location too. Near to the Natural History Museum, Kensington Gardens and tube stations.
