The man behind the counter(Thursday 29th, Darius) I think that was his name, well he was lovely very welcoming. The room was OK. Clean. It wasn't ensuite as I was told but there was a loo right next door. The lounge was nice the location to the museum's was good 20 min walk. They only do continental breakfast here. Would...

I like the YHA. They're a great company with good staff and they provide an invaluable service to travellers. Long live the YHA. However, I do think that they need to re-think the Earls Court YHA experience. I don't know where to start really. Firstly, its got that stinky, dirty, damp, somebody-left-a-loo-without-flushing it .. type of feel of an eighties...

Hi Andrew, I’m sorry it seems our facilities weren’t quite how they should have been during your stay, we’re proud of our standards and it seems we fell short this time. YHA agrees the hostel needs a bit of a sparkle and the great news is that we’re investing half a million pounds into toilets and showers this winter as...

The hostel is good, located in quiet area with easy access to undergournd and some important museums (of Natural History and of Sciences). For those who want to enjoy the London buzz though the place may be a bit away. Rooms are reasonable - my bathroom was bad, looked like a torture room - but on the other hand there...

Booked a triple room at this hostel for 4 nights when travelling with my two cousins from Canada, and all we were really expecting was somewhere clean and quiet with a comfy bed to lay our heads. Triple room was described on website as one standard size double and one standard single bed - what we actually got was a...

Stayed for one night after attending a meeting on fenchurch street last week. Good quick access to various restaurants shops and the unddrground. Not too far from Harrods and the museums. Clean rooms showers and toilets. If anyone is after a cheap clean place to stay near the tube this is a good Choice

Visited here with school and loved it, for a hostel it is very good. Plenty of showers and nice chillout zones. Didn't attempt to use wifi but a few of my friends did and found it to be temperamental. Continental breakfast wasn't amazing, could maybe include more cereals and heat up the croissants more but I guess it is cheap....

I was visiting with a school group and can easily say that this is one of the nicer hostels in London. The staff were all friendly and the social area was clean and comfortable. The room was slightly disappointing- the beds were a bit past their best and quite small and narrow. The wall was cracking and it appeared to...

YHA Earls  Court hostel in Bolton Gardens road is in a great location  close to major train and underground  which  will get you  most places in London  quickly. All ages so not party central. Unfortunately we didn't  get the room we booked on Agoda which apparently was the booking website 's fault  according to reception staff.  After 2 days of...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
