We stayed 3 nights at this great hotel, room 508 with great views of the Shard and St Paul's. All staff really friendly and recommended we have breakfast before 830 to avoid the crowds which we did! Ideal location close to transport and walking distance of various attractions. Could not fault the breakfast so much choice and great quality, would...

Hotel itself was OK, but the food was petty dire, service slow, and disorganised. Menu very limited on the meal deal. Orders often wrong and simple requests (such as no coleslaw or mushrooms) were a difficult task.

We stayed here for our weekend to celebrate our friends wedding anniversary with a Thames dinner cruise trip up the shard science museum and going to the theatre. The location was great for everywhere we wanted to be and the staff were extremely attentive and pleasent. We would sefinitely use this as a base again next time we come.

Overall our stay was very good and fantastic! Great hotel, location was excellent. The rooms were clean and tidy. The breakfast was tasty and the selection was wide, staff were very friendly and helpful. (Only small thing, in the room was a little bit cool. When we pressed the air-can to the maximum, it blew the same temperature air as...

Modern, clean hotel reasonably near the station and very near buses. Friendly staff and great breakfast. Comfortable bed and good night's sleep. Clean room and good sized room. Would stay again if staying in London again. Very near river and could see The Shard from our room.

Stayed here for 3 nights and as usual Premier Inn delivered for customer service, and for value for money. This was very convenient for business as my conference was a 10 minute walk away, however would recommend using buses to get into central london if you have the time. Quite a way from Paddington too.

Check in staff & those working in restaurant were friendly and helpful, good location for where I was going next day and value for money in London. Service for breakfast was not so good, but nothing major. Quiet & clean room.

We stayed for 2 nights with our young children and the staff couldn't do enough to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this hotel, only downfall is the long walk (for children) from nearest tube station.

After slight checking in glitch was given what seemed to be a quiet room on 4th floor right at end of corridor. Excellent I thought. But... first night fine then on my second night it did appear the usual herd of wildebeest had followed me and had been given the room above me on the fifth floor. Obviously a noisy...

Staying in Southwark

Neighbourhood Profile
Southwark
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighbourhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.
