Never stayed on the south side of the Tames before. Great and interesting area. The hotel is a good one, with very good beds. The downside is the heatings in the room, and one cannot adjust the temperature.

Stayed at this hotel for a weekend away in London. Centrally located, 10 mins from London Bridge Station, 2 mins from Tower Bridge itself. The room was quite spacey and facilities good. It was however really really hot and the windows don't open. Staff were friendly, bed comfy and everything clean. Everything you need for a city break.

Had a brilliant stay, room was clean and spacious, beds really comfortable. Staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was nice and good choice. Staff helpful with finding out gluten free choices and explaining breakfast layout. Restaurant in evening was nice. Were able to leave bags securely on last day.

Ideal for anyone who is visiting Central London. Close to Tower of London, in walking distance to tower hill tube station. The staff are really friendly, very helpful always smiling. On a number of occasions Abs one of the evening staff went out of his way (go the extra mile) to provide guidance around parking my car or out of... More

Ok so bad points: myself and a work colleague booked a twin room. When we arrived the room had two single beds pushed together. We separated these beds ourselves but due to the room layout meant we then had bedside wall lamps directly above our heads which we kept hitting. Room was very cold and didnt seem to matter what... One of the best stays I've had in a Premier Inn. The person who served me on reception was very kind and helpful. He was quite short and had glasses. Steve I think his name was? He was amazing at giving me directions to where I wanted to visit around the city. Nothing was a problem and he made me... More

Nice hotel, short walk (10 minutes) from Tower Hill underground. Rooms quite small but adequate - good nights sleep. Breakfast very busy but food was fine from buffet and good value as kids eat for free.

1. The shower water pressure was very poor. 2. If we had the air con on at night it made a high pitched whining sound. If we turned it off the room quickly became too hot. 3. Whenever we turned the bathroom light on it immediately turned an extractor fan on which was loud and woke everyone else up and... More

Hi Mike I'm really sorry to hear you experienced a few problems with your stay. I've passed your comments on to the Operations Manager and they'll work on the concerns raised with the Maintenance Team as soon as possible. Some of our Premier Inn rooms do have switches to control the extractor fan. If you do find the extractor fan... More

Staying in Southwark

Neighbourhood Profile
Southwark
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighbourhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.
