The rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff in the main are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is ok, good choice and nice to get fresh eggs. Dinner was also ok, the burgers were decent enough but some staff in the evening were terrible. One waiter was rude to 2 or 3 tables to the point the Manager was...

We stayed 3 nights with teenagers. The hotel was in really central location just a few minutes walk from tower bridge. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. The breakfast is well worth having and filled us up for the day! Would definitely recommend it.

I stayed here with my wife for a couple of nights last September when in the City for Meatopia (if you like barbeque or beer or both check it out). The hotel itself is the fairly usual Premier Inn fare; basic and utilitarian, but lets not kid ourselves that we were expecting much more. The location is good, and that...

My usual hotel was booked so I decided to try this one. I have to say that the staff went out of their way to be helpful, including putting me on the ground floor because I walk with a stick. This was half term week and the hotel was busy with families though so I think the staff were a...

We discovered the Premier Inn hotels last summer and have never been disappointed so far : the rooms are always modern, spotless and large enough for a family of 3, the staff is always extremely helpful and the dining facilities very appealing. When we booked at the London Tower hotel, I must admit we were a little bit worried about...

Have stayed in a lot of Premier inn hotels and I found this one of the best, The location is a 8 minute walk over Tower Bridge with the local tubes being Tower Hill or London Bridge both 10 to 12 minutes walk. Buses stop right outside and they do have a car park at £15.00 a day. Check in...

Premier Inn great, staff really friendly and willing to hep to arrange luggage storage, which was really useful. Breakfast was great, and kids eat free which was also great! Not too near a tube, but was a nice walk.

Stayed 2 nights at this chain hotel and found the staff welcoming on our arrival. They were happy to assist with the automatic check in system which dispenses the key card(s) for the room. Information given regarding breakfast time and menu choices. Evening meals also served in the restaurant. Our room was on 5th floor and was lovely and clean....

We booked to stay 1 night at Premier Inn and requested a very nice room. Were in 507 on the top floor with view of London skyline. The room was enormous, spotlessly clean and the most comfortable bed ever! It was very quiet considering the location and so convenient for train and riverside. All of the staff we met were...

Staying in Southwark

Neighbourhood Profile
Southwark
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighbourhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.
