Excellent overnight stay while en route to Gatwick Airport. Met all my expectations for cleanliness, comfort and service and more. Nice breakfast too. Attentive staff even at the crack of dawn. Very handy exit into Victoria station platforms. Well done. Will definitely stay again.

Surprisingly good value and hospitality in what is effectively a railway station hotel. Ideally located in central London and right beside rail and Underground connections. Comfortable rooms with good wifi. Good cocktail bar too and reasonable breakfast buffet. Only negative was the slowest elevator on the planet!

Dear Reviewer, Thanks for your post. I was pleased that you found us to be good value and enjoyed our hospitality. Opened in 1862 as the first of London's great railway hotels, we offer a perfect location nestled here in the corner of Victoria mainline station. Underground and bus stations are literally outside our doors as well. We hope to...

After going up the steps with our bags we were not greeted by anyone to help us. The lobby is very grand but only has two chairs! The check-in was long and painful. Not sure if it was the receptionist or the computer but it was inexplainably long. We had two rooms, one on the 4th floor(which was neat but...

Dear Reviewer, Thanks for your post. I was dismayed that your stay with us was not as it should be and our service, which is something we usually pride ourselves on, fell short on this occasion. It is unfortunate that we were not made aware of the issues during your stay so that we could have put them right. We...

Stayed for 3 nights for pleasure. The position close to Victoria Station is great both for arrivals and departures from Gatwick (due to the Gatwick Express train). Nice walk to Green Park, Buckingham Palace, Hyde Park and Picadilly Circus. Nice rooms and good breakfast. As many hotels in London, you might get lost in the long hallways.

Dear Reviewer, Thank you for your post and choosing to stay at The Grosvenor. We do offer an ideal position here in Victoria with public transport just outside our doors and several tourist hotspots within walking distance. The team and I hope to welcome you back soon. Kind regards, Billy

Had a last minute trip to London this past weekend, and many hotels were already full. First time staying at the Grosvenor, and after the trip, won't be the last. Many hotels seem to have cut back on service and making their guests feel both welcomed and special. Not the case here, from a smooth check in, to advice from...

We arrived at the hotel at around 3pm. It's very well located for Victoria Station which suited me as I was traveling from Gatwick airport. After a five minute wait at check in I was told that my room wasn't available but would be in twenty five minutes. This seemed to be the stock answer given to everyone checking in...

Dear Reviewer, Thanks for your detailed post that made uncomfortable reading. I was disheartened to read your review and would like to express my sincere apologies for the shortfall in service you experienced with us. We constantly strive to exceed our guests expectations and it was disappointing that we did not live up to our reputation. I would like to...

I have stayed at the Grosvenor a few times now. The hotel is spotless, both in the public areas and rooms. Staff are helpful and efficient. Breakfast is good quality. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and its location is perfect for central London. A++

The hotel's location is good (the reason I chose it) and reception area is beautiful, however we were disappointed with everything else. Having booked the 'romantic' package and despite asking for our complimentary bottle of champagne to be waiting for us in the room, 30 minutes later it still hadn't arrived. The package supposedly also includes a 'turn down treat',...

Grosvenor is practical, but needs to improve the reception services ( unprofessional on the phone took me more than 30 minutes to reserve 5 rooms) and the room services as they most of the time don't know the card and they should automatically take the plates with them, that is really bad that they say it is not them to...

Staying in Pimlico

Neighbourhood Profile
Pimlico
Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighbourhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.
