Neighbourhood
Pimlico
Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighbourhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.

I found the staff friendly. The area close to Pimlico station. 5 minutes walk. 5minutes walk to nice coffee shops. The room I stayed in was a standard double bedroom. It was very small. Couldn't turn around. The bed fitted from wall to wall. Bit of a smell from drains or toilet. But for the price as a last minute deal £40 for one night. I decided I'd risk one night. You can feel springs in mattress. But for the price like I say. What else can you expect. If I would look for another positive it would be the room looked clean. Clean sheets and towels. We still looked wrecked from little sleep in the morning. So managed to put all the positives and the truth about the bad points.

The only reason why I rated this a 1 is because the staff at the front desk was friendly. We stayed there for 6 nights and changed rooms 3 time because on noise in the front ground floor room then damp strange noises coming from the "backyard" the small of pigeon droppings and stale water and the chefs stouting in the morning in the basement room and the last room never slept because the pigeons and the strange noise coming from the backyard again. Plus all the mattresses felt like all the springs was trying to rip my intel organs. I would not stay here again even if you paid me

Service minded staff. The rooms were small, but clean, and the staff was very helpful. Even made us breakfast 1,5 hours before breakfast was served. Simple continental, but good value for money. Brilliant location. Would recommend! 👍

We were actually quite shocked by how awful this hotel was. We only stayed one night but that was too much. Service was non existent. The kitchen was unclean. There was nobody in the breakfast room to help out. No one present to show you how to use the coffee machine. There were dirty dishes in the sink and this was 10 minutes after breakfast opened. Do not stay here.
