Lovely central location for Holborn/Bloomsbury/Euston/Covent Garden areas. Comfortable and nice staff at reception and in the breakfast room. Convenience and car parking worked perfectly for my reason for staying, close by my place of work and for departing in the evening to travel to North London.

The Bedford Hotel is a good mid-range hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful .The corridors are a little tired, but the rooms are clean and comfortable if a little on the small side. Close to all the main transport links but if you are driving, you need to approach the hotel from Holborn direction (Hotel will be on the...

Bedford Hotel is situated near Russell Square and the tube station with the same name - convenient if you are travelling to/from Heathrow Airport as you go by tube from the Airport without changing trains. The single rooms are decent sized and equipped with a comfortable bed, armchair, desk, hairdryer, ironing board and iron. Bathroom is very small but has...

Although not 'posh', the Bedford is in walking distance of Euston and King's Cross/St Pancras stations, and Russell Square and Holborn tube stations - Piccadilly line. The British Museum is just round the corner, and theatreland within walking distance. The staff are friendly and efficient and the hotel is kept very clean. I had requested a quiet room at the...

Stayed in Bedford Hotel from 04/12/14 to 08/12/14. Staff welcoming. Beds uncomfortable, Breakfast could be better, toast ready toasted! I requested a room overlooking the courtyard at the back but I was not given such room. Rooms are very noisy on the front. Internet fine but Management must sort out something so guests don't have to go for a wifi...

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighbourhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
At the Bedford Hotel, peace and quiet is our priority. With the elegant bustle of Bloomsbury on every side, that might sound like an impossible task. Covent Garden and the West End are just a short walk away, and the British Museum is on our doorstep. But at the Bedford, we can promise you a good night's sleep too. How do we do it? Well, many of the rooms overlook our picturesque private garden. The Bedford is small and intimate, offering a warm welcome with a personal touch. And it's a great place to relax with company too, with a charming guest lounge and laid back café occupying the ground floor. Meanwhile, the Bedford Garden restaurant serves home-made British specialities, with a modern twist, overlooking our secret garden. We're able to offer a little corner of traditional English tranquility, here, in a bustling, international city. It's made us a firm favourite with returning guests. ... more   less
