I was there just before the corona crisis and I completely forgot to write a review. I'll be back soon! Lovely 5 star hotel around Bank station. delicious breakfast with wonderful beds. Beds are really excellent! Friendly staff! Lovely scent when you enter. Beautifully designed rooms and hall and well located. I can go on for a long time. This hotel is tremendous! Never another. I added a nice photo from my second last stay. During Christmas.

First of all the hotel is absolutely gorgeous! The decor is stunning! I stayed here with my partner for my birthday, on arrival we received a glass of prosecco which was such a lovely touch and a great way to start our trip! We also got a free upgrade for a better and bigger room which was amazing! The room came with a gorgeous bath which was perfect for a romantic dip! I even got a call to the room to make sure I was happy with it! I felt like a VIP the whole time! The location is also great for getting around London! Beautiful hotel with the best service! Would happily stay here again!

Most convenient - we were at a formal dinner at the Merchant Taylors' Hall next door, and its right in the centre of the City. NB property numbers are crazy - the hotel at no. 5 Threadneedle Street is next to the MT Hall @ no. 30! Booking direct with Marriott, and bearing in mind the previous comments about breakfast, it was very difficult to get confirmation that breakfast was included in our price - for some reason they did not want to put this in writing, even to a Marriott Member, which I am. Eventually it came, though. They upgraded our room which was good but the standard room must have been very small. It was well appointed and high up with views over the City. We had a very average dinner here previously in the empty Marco Pierre White franchised restaurant, but being out this time, didn't have to face it again. Breakfast was not bad, but five star......? The dining areas are huge, this is an old converted bank, after all, but it all felt a bit soul-less with so few people in it. Staff being very friendly and helpful pushes it above a three rating to four. You need deep pockets, but you are in the centre of things. Be aware that at present there are horrible road works all round the City with roads closed etc, which extended our taxi fare from London Bridge Station to nearly £20 (more than double normal), we had to go on such a roundabout route.

This was the first time I have ever been offered at drink when checking in, after a long journey the Prosecco was very welcome. The hotel is a beautiful building with large glass dome in the lounge area. Staff were very polite, helpful, the rooms were lovely, spacious, clean, warm and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, choice, service and quality, as expected from a 5 star establishment. Close to Tower Bridge, Tower of London, Sky building, bank underground and there is a bus stop right on the door. We had a brilliant weekend, would recommend.

This was my third and very last stay - the change in management does not bode well for the Marriott Brand.. Management and front desk were inconsistent in what was offered (i.e. breakfast - yes or no) as well as their check out policy (i.e. unclear ) Management and the front desk staff were not hospitable and when this issue was escalated to senior management at Marriott Bonvoy - the response was " this is just a franchise ' i.e. it is not owned by Marriott. With over 350,000 points on Marriott from over 50 hotels - I was shocked at both the Hotels response and managements lack of attention. The rooms are shabby and I am not sure how inclusive they are.

Dear W1147KRdianem, It was a pleasure talking to you yesterday. I am truly sorry for the misunderstanding with the separate bookings upon check out and the inconvenience that you have experienced with the Marriott Customer Service Center. As discussed, I will share your feedback with the Customer Service Center in order to be reviewed and addressed. I do hope that you have enjoyed your afternoon tea in Threadneedles and that we will have the opportunity to serve you again in the near future. Warmest regards, Aleksandra
