At approximately 6.30am I and the majority of guests was awoken by the fire alarm. Taking the opportunity to get ready early I was surprised to find that there was no running water available (no shower, no sink, no bath) in my bathroom. I spoke to the receptionist who advised that there was as flood and that I could use...

Amazing view of the Tower of London, Thames, and the Tower Bridge from the hotel. Hotel staff - polite, warm & professional. Close to tube stations and Tower of London. Many restaurants & cafes close by too. Definitely recommend it to tourists for 1-5 nights.

The hotel has very nice rooms which have good materials and decor. The pool area is comfy and the gym has a wide range of practicing equipment. Located in good spot next to the Tower Bridge underground station and within the London city. Excellent breakfast!

I deliberately picked the location of this hotel for its proximity to the DLR terminus at Tower Bridge, and access to the London Underground, as well as its proximity to the Tower of London - never a bad thing. For this alone it gets good ratings The room was rather so-so. It was overpriced based on corporate booking policy, I...

Great location, booked through last minute. Got a free upgrade that made me feel dead fancy. The room was huge and pimptastic. So big I hardly used any of it just the bed. Great hotel service too they were friendly and awesome.

Stayed here a few times. Really well appointed and good value for money. Priced at the premier inn and Citizen level but a whole lot better. Well appointed rooms with tea and coffee. Great showers and comfortable bed.

The staff at the hotel are amazingly helpful - if this review was about them alone it would get 5 stars. The view was lovely too - seeing the Tower of London out of the side of the window but.....and it's a big but..... the mattress quality was atrocious - lumpy, soft and the sheets did not cover it. The...

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
