The room was marvellously well-equipped; extras such as the gowns and toiletries were of good quality. The bed was fabulously comfortable, and the location is tremendous. All in all, a great hotel for a weekend break.
The ability to get to the Tube and the eateries nearby made it very convenient. The did have a problem with the AC when we were there Sept 20-22. After complaining multiple times, and their promise to repair it. They did send a fan to my room. After the second night, they finally acknowledged the AC was broken And moved us to another room. That worked well since my original view was the trains and my new view was the river. My room was on the small side but others in our group had larger rooms. So luck of the draw. The towels are great and while the tubs are high and difficult to step in at least they had a rubber bath mat. What they really need is a handrail to hold on to as you step into the tub. The breakfast was excellent and we had a group dinner there which was good too. …
Rooms were super clean and well maintained. Proximity to tube station is marvelous, as well as next door to Tower of London. Staff was excellent. Restaurant was clean and food good. There are several pubs and restaurants in vicinity.
Tub very deep and slippery. No a/c for 2 nights so no sleep after a wonderful 1st night. Most of our group of 32 had the same A/C issue. Nice room and location. Desk staff very helpful Breakfast nicely done
I used to stay here many years ago on business and it seemed to be a snappy place for business travellers. Great location in a quiet but convenient area. Now it seems a bit tired and definitely is showing wear. The staff is friendly, courteous and helpful. Bu the rooms are showing a lot of wear. Ours had a pipe smoke smell to it. They do seem to be renovating parts of he hotel so hopefully it will be improved in the next few years.…
