I stayed as part of a large group for a birthday weekend.
I arrived a little early and staff were really friendly and helpful.
When I went to room key wouldn’t work, cleaner helped me and desk clerk brought up new one to save me lugging cases up and down lift.
I’d upgraded room so had bit more space, totally worth it.
Great location for buses and tube within walking distance.
Car park to the rear but paid separately from hotel.
Great bar and reasonable prices.

Breakfast was good, plenty to choose from.

The hotel is clean and comfortable and ideally situated for easy access to the capital. Cricklewood station is a 5 minute walk away with trains running every 15 mins to st pancras and taking only 11 mins. The hotel is next door to a Tesco express which made popping out for drinks and snack for 2 children really easy. Our room (223) was large and well maintained. The breakfast was fresh with plenty of choice and even better value with the children eating for free. There are busses directly outside of the hotel which can have you into the city in around half hour, or hop on for 5 stops to the tube station. On this occasion we travelled to kings cross then st pancras to cricklewood, which was very easy. However, the last time we stayed here we drove and found the carpark safe and good value.

Parking is at the rear of the hotel try to keep your vehicle on the ground level not basement unfortunately it's not a secure car park so don't leave valubles in sight. Also if you deside to stay an extra night don't ask the reception I was quoted £140.00 for a room I was only paying £63.00 for one extra night. Book it on line your save your self £90.00. it's a shame due to that outragous quote I didn't stay another night and they lost a customer that day. However the room was clean and you can see wembley from the room, also remember the higher you go the hotter the room.

This was our first trip away post-lockdown and we decided to stay at this hotel as we'd stayed here a few years ago and found it to be a perfectly good base for our visit. Although a bit further out for many central London locations Kings Cross station can be reached in under 20 minutes and bus links are literally on the doorstep of the hotel.
The area itself is perfectly fine and we felt safe throughout our weekend away and there are plenty of local late night shops and takeaways open. Beneath the hotel itself is a Tesco which was open between 6am and 11pm. Cricklewood itself has a few pubs and plenty of restaurants to suit all tastes.
In terms of facilities, the hotel is pretty much what you'd expect from a Travelodge; clean, basic but perfectly good facilities, low prices and staff that are friendly and helpful. We did experience an issue with having limited hot water during our stay which was due to a problem with one of the boilers which was awaiting repair but given it happened over a Bank Holiday weekend there was very little that could be done and the Receptionist expected the problem to be fixed the next day. On our previous stays at this hotel we have never had a problem with hot water supply so I certainly wouldn't be put off from returning again to what was likely to have been an isolated incident.
For transport links, value for money and staff I would certainly recommend this Travelodge to others if you want a clean, comfortable base for a break in London.

The hotel was clean and well presented, the corridors were still being painted on arrival but that was ok and didn't interfere with our stay. The room was very warm but humidity levels were high (late June) and there was a fan in our room to help circulate the air. The room was very clean and smelt nice and fresh as was the bathroom. Breakfast was nice and easy to get in the morning and very enjoyable. Only downside was having to wait around 20 mins to check in as our room was awaiting to be signed off. Check-in was meant to be from 3pm, we arrived at 3.40pm and were able to check-in to our room at 4pm, The receptionist was very friendly and informative. We parked a 40min walk away to avoid the congestion and low emission's charge for roughly £5 just off the A406. We had no issue with this.

We booked a double & a family room. They do not provide adequate bed's for children. Be prepared for camping on a cot bed. Our son broke 2 beds during our stay and hotel management said there was nothing they could do as it’s 'Company Policy'. The room numbering is disorganized. We requested rooms next to each other (Rm 19 & 20); when we collected our keys we found Room 18 was in between us (19, 18, 20).
The showers are very small with soap dispensers placed under your elbows so you keep knocking it. The noise and light coming in from the High Street disturbs your rest. We were regularly locked out of the hotel & rooms as key fobs were constantly failing. We changed our keys most days often more than once in a day.
One evening we returned late in the night to find no running water in our rooms.
Reception seemed constantly understaffed. Often waiting in queues at front desk as the person on duty attends to other customers. In spite of all the errors, staff were always friendly, patient, polite and helpful. Shame on management hiding behind front line staff who manage the company’s flaws.

Checked in Friday 29th April for one night. Parked up and went into foyer. It smelled like a weed farm as did the lift up to the first floor reception. Absolutely awful first impression. Check in was done by a friendly lady who handed us our key passes. Went to our room on 2nd floor. Sadly it wasn’t up to scratch. The dust on the skirting boards was awful, the radiator would not turn down so it was roasting hot. The toilet seal that held the toilet bowl to the wall was coming away, the shower head is in the ceiling and can’t be reached so when we turned it on, it squirted out and all over the floor as it was set to spray outside the shower for some bizarre reason, the seal was mouldy around the shower and the seal along the shower tray was also mouldy, there was only one pillow each on a double bed so went to find the Porter and asked for another two pillows. He gave me one and said he’d bring the other to our room. He never arrived with a pillow!
Cleanliness of rooms leaves little to be desired. The dust on the skirting boards was heavy, the widow catch was absolutely filthy and considering that we are still in a pandemic things that have to be touched by hand should be spotless!! There was a hair bobble on the windowsill outside, the bed base where the mattress laid was filthy on the corners as was the carpet around the legs of the bed.
We had breakfast this morning which was ok. The guy in the kitchen was absolutely lovely! He was helpful and accommodating and couldn’t do enough for us at breakfast this morning.
After breakfast however, we went to hand in our key cards and asked if we could leave the car in the car park so we could go to London for the afternoon without having to drive which they agreed to. However, on our return, there was nobody at reception except for a member of the reception team who was obviously on her way home and as she came out I asked her if she could just let us into the luggage room to get our bags before she left as it needed a code to get in, to which she replied, “I don’t know” and left the building leaving my husband and I and everyone else waiting to be served at reception absolutely disgusted at her rude and unhelpful manner!! Wow!
More training needed for the staff in customer service. Communication is key, manners and politeness cost nothing at all.
Cleanliness is an issue here. Nobody wants to smell weed either it’s disgraceful!
Bedroom overhaul desperately needed and please ensure if you go, take hand wipes so you can clean surfaces down yourself.
The travelodge is situated in a very seedy area and we wouldn’t go back.
The main reasons we wouldn’t go back though are the rude member of staff, Unhelpful staff, weed smell, poor levels of cleanliness and lack of comfort.
The good points were the excellent bus and tube links into London.

Affordable. Great location. Friendly staff. Unfortunately several factors contributed to our disappointment in the overnight stay. Only one towel was left for a two person stay, we had to go down and request more. Hot water is a basic amenity you should expect at a hotel: it worked fine when we first checked in however we returned late at night from an event and there was no hot water in both the shower and the tap. We were so tired and frustrated by this, no phone in the room so we tried to call the reception from our mobile however it asked for a payment to make the call which we refused. When we did complain in the morning it was was assumed it was just the tap and as if this should be acceptable. It was also disappointing to hear staff make a comment that this had previously been an issue raised on our floor and they thought it had been resolved by now. Staff were relatively apologetic however we feel something as serious as this should have been checked over before you allow guests to book and check in. There was also only a very thin sheet on the bed, we are unsure as to whether this is standard practice at Travelodge during the summer season however the weather turned and we were absolutely freezing during the night. We needed the window slightly open because it became very stuffy otherwise. Noise levels were somewhat minimal from outside however to think we were placed on the quiet zone floor, there was a lot of slamming doors, running around and noise coming from other hotel guests. Overall good value for money and location however we left feeling shattered.

I stayed in Travelodge on Fri 28th Feb in room 103.

Pros:
1)Check in was quick and easy. I was exhausted so that really helped. Thank you
2)It was a big clean room (facing the car park) so quiet.
3)The shower was strong and hot. Lovely.
4)The room stayed quite cold but I was quickly given a heater from Enzo (the supervisor) who is seriously a credit to the company, both friendly and professional.
5)The food was nice. Clean bar and eating area.
6) Great transport connections.

Cons:
1)Room 103 is near the main door to reception, so the slamming of the door, when people enter / exit was a disturbance for me.
2) The pillows in the room (even though you have a choice of different types) were all rock hard.
3)On the last day my shower wasnt hot at all but this issue was definitely resolved to my satisfaction.

Would I go back? Yes.
Would I recommend? Yes.
Overall, I was very happy with my stay.

Whilst we were only looking for a place to sleep whilst exploring London, basic necessities would still have been appreciated. There was no toilet roll and the room was filthy (including dirty mugs and spoons!) after several attempts to visit the reception to request missing/clean items we had to resort to going to the local Tesco to purchase loo roll and milk as there was no one at the desk on any of the occasions we tried. Just grateful we were lucky enough to only wait 20 minutes to check in… unlike another couple who waited 8 hours! We were told they were understaffed but the lack of customer service/ compassion was unbelievable.

I wouldn't know as I always check in around 2.30 or 3pm when it says but if you let the hotel know I'm sure you can arrange something. Have a nice trip!

Hi, what is the quickest way into central London from this hotel and how much does it cost.
Answer from yvonnemY3148GB
Brussels, Belgium2 contributions2 helpful votes
Central London is a bit vague as a destination, but the Cricklewood overground train station which is just around the corner from the hotel has frequent trains that go to St Pancras international. It takes approx. 15 minutes and a one way ticket costs 4.50 sterling. You can check on the nationalrail website for further details and prices of all day travel cards which can work out to be economical. From St Pancras you can walk to several London sights or connect with the underground system.
