Lovely hotel. Easy check in and check out. Lovely spacious room at great prices. Optional upgrade was only £30 but didn't bother as we were only there 1 night. Free coffee and water dispensers were a great touch. Wetherspoons next door, 10 minute walk to Liverpool new street and Shoreditch. Would stay again.

Clean simple hotel in a great location - within the call of the bells of St Pauls cathedral. Iced water was a welcome and but nice touch. Recommend breakfast out at Joe's just two doors down the road to the right.

A pleasure to have a quiet and quite big room in the center of London. Plenty of options for eating nearby, for all times of day. Had lunch at the steps in the garden on the backside of St Pauls. Friendly attentive service.

We visited London in Eastern with my wife and 2 kids. I have to say that the hotel location is perfect. It is very close to St. Paul's Cathedral, bus, tube and train stations are on walking distance. If you want the hop on, hop off bus; it is in front of the hotel. Lots of restaurants and groceries near-by....

Perfect for short biz trip. Clean simple but very small. Gym is small and simple with disposable earphones. Each floor has water fountains with plastic disposable water bottles for use. Would recommend.

St. Paul location is terrific. Beautiful cathedral right outside your door. Metro stop around the corner. Hotel lobby offers nice sitting area, coffee, tea, water, computers. Room was clean and simple, just what we needed. Above all else, the staff was terrific! Friendly and helpful. Kristine and Maria know what good customer service is. Would defensive definitely recommend!!

We are a family of three who had a terrible night at this hotel. Our first impression was that the decor is incredibly dilapidated and in need of a urgent upgrade. This turned out to be a minor detail when the bed broke as we were watching TV! We were moved to another room only to find the AC was...

I was expecting a little more but the hotel is very basic. Our bed was very uncomfortable and the rooms are very small. Be sure to ask for an extra pillow we arrived quite late and just went straight to sleep on one very small pillow each and there are no extras in the room. In all fairness we got...

This place is likely more geared up to the business traveller. However, with the discount available when i booked, certainly value for money. London hotels are notoriously expensive and you really don't always get what you pay for. Mine was a weekend, 2 night stay. The room, clean, with towels and toiletries included. There's no bar or restaurant, but you...

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
