This hotel was so much more than we expected. Great location and lots of amenities. The front desk personnel were very friendly and helpful, especially Inge. Close to buses and two tube stops. Loved the espresso/latte maker in the lounge. Room was spacious and comfortable with a view of St Paul's cathedral.

Stopped on way back from greece for an overnight layover. Stayed the day, wandered up and down the Thames on the most amazingly sunny day in London. Fantastic location, smallish rooms and labyrinth of corridors, free water filtration machine w bottles was fantastic. Not much going on in the area at night. Check in took forever but checkout was easy...

Stayed here many times before. Not particularly cheap, but decent price for the location. Food options onsite limited and only up to 11pm. Close to plenty of restaurants and pubs, handy for St Paul's and Blackfriar's tube stations. Automated check in/out. It's a safe option.

We arrived early - before the 3 pm check in time, but were warmly welcomed by the young woman on Reception who immediately found us a free room on the 6th floor. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable and centrally situated. The only criticism we had was when we arrived for breakfast at 9-15am on the Friday morning we...

You can access it all from this location while also enjoying a well-priced and well-appointed room. The staff were amazing. We had a number of requests and questions, and they accommodated everything while simultaneously making us feel welcome and appreciated. Ken and Renata are both excellent at their jobs as were the others whose names I've forgotten; Ken was outstanding....

Our first time at this lovely place; everything was first rate. A stones throw from St Pauls Cathedral and St Pauls underground station and on major bus routes to most areas. The rooms are very modern well maintained and comfortable and they are kept really clean. Every staff member we met was pleasant and helpful to us; I observed the...

I'd heard about CQ St. Pauls as it is used as a preferred hotel by my employers, but this was my first time staying here. It really is designed with the business traveller in mind, with a fantastic bunch of staff for whom no request was too big or small. The rooms were functional but not quite as warm as...

I was attending a professional event near St Paul's on Saturday, and decided to stay at this nearby hotel the previous night. It was a great decision. This is a great value hotel in an amazing location a stone's throw from St Paul's Cathedral. Friendly staff, clean rooms, free Wi-Fi, and a comfy "Club Living Room" with workstations and a...

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
