Stayed for 3 nights in a single room in november. The hotel is not in the centre at all, but you find the DLR in short walking distance and the tube also in walking distance. Its possible to take a longer walk down to the river and up to the Tower Bridge, but its a little bit longer. Nice staff,...

I stayed here for 4 nights Nov-Dec 2016. I had a conference at the Excel center and this hotel was one of the few still available. Positives: Newness, very quiet - I was facing in to the courtyard (room 423 - an executive room). Breakfast was great - eggs cooked quickly to order, good buffet, espressos included. Gym was also...

I like love this place. I went to school nearby so I am very comfortable with the surroundings so do not feel uneasy in any way by the local area. Great room, wonderful access for Canary Wharf and also the City. Very friendly front desk.

The hotel in itself is decent. I guess you could say it's according to what could be expected, no more no less. The wifi is ok. Beds are quite hard (which I like). Bar has a good selection, besides the breakfast I didn't try any of the food so can't comment on that. Breakfast selection is very typical British in...

This hotel was somewhat of an oasis in an extremely questionable neighbourhood. Taking the train to Shadwell gave us a bit of a wake up call as to which part of town we were in, but we were happy to find that the hotel was quite secure and required your room key to gain access to the lobby. Staff was...

Stayed here for a few nights while at a conference- selected the hotel because it was near to the thing I was going to. Thought it was excellent! There is a starbucks, bar and restaurant if you want food or coffee. Only thing I would have liked was breakfast finishing a bit later- I was working from lunch time till...

I normally stay in a Holiday Inn (I collect the points) more central, but due to budget, this one popped up. It is only 5 mins from Shadwell. I was made welcome by Prince Alexander , the manager. I would stay here again as it is convenient to the tube, and Commercial Road bus routes, and it is a good price.

Stayed here 4 nights when working at Canary Wharf, which is easy to get to either by taxi or the DLR from nearby Shadwell station. The room was clean and spacious and the bed very comfortable. The bathroom was compact with a shower, no bath. The breakfast buffet choice was fine for a quick meal, and the evening menu had...

I booked this hotel for 2 nights as it was close to the hospital my son had to attend for minor surgery. It was perfect for our needs, only 10 minutes walk to the hospital and very quiet allowing my son to rest well on our return. Clean lovely rooms with all areas of the hotel clean and tidy. We...

Staying in Whitechapel

Neighbourhood Profile
Whitechapel
Whether you're here for its dynamic street life, world class galleries or famed curry houses, you're bound to be wowed by the uniquely cosmopolitan flavor of Whitechapel. Long gone are the days when Jack the Ripper stalked its streets. And despite his mysterious legacy bringing throngs of curiosity driven tour groups to its back alleys and otherwise serene garden squares, these days you're more likely to catch a cutting edge fashionista scurrying through its age old lanes than criminals of any sort.
