I got back from London a couple days ago and we stayed with my friend in the central hotel for a week. The hotel was really lovely, the stuff at reception and in breakfast room was really nice, rooms were clean, towels changed daily. There were some trifle problems but we actually laughed at them:the stairs are narrow, but we lived on the first floor...

this a small hotel and very compact, very pleasant and helpful reception and breakfast room staff. our room was on the top floor with no lift and it was a shared loo and shower room,, that was my fault when booking as I didn't check. but what I can say it is very clean and good value for London. and...

When you are on a visit to London it is the place to stay. 5 mins away from King Cross St Pancras Station. Warm welcome is always given by the staff and they are helpful. One drawback is that it is so near the tube so one may have trouble to sleep good because of the trains but can assure...

I don't have a lot of experiences with London accommodation but the Central seems to be a common standard, within a certain price range. It was clean and tidy and the location is good especially if you have train connections at St. Pancras station as we did for the Eurostar. Room was very very small and really only good for...

For a no-frills place for a tourist to rest his or her head at night, can't be beat. Right across the street from St. Pancreas Eurostation, TI store, stop on the Bigbus tour route and on one of the major tube stations, this is the ideal location for someone touring London who doesn't want to pay astronomical hotel prices. Of...

August 2011 (Date selection would not allow me to go back that far) - The Central Hotel was the best gamble I took on a B+B. Even though we were put in the smallest room (and we're a tall couple), we had a comfy room with a private WC with enough room to sleep after tiring ourselves out after full...

Me and my partner spent a couple of days in London and chose this hotel due to its location and price. This hotel is one of the cheapest in the area. Considering the area it is in, the hotel is very well priced. Though it is cheap, it does not mean that the quality is cheap too. We loved our...

Location is great - literally 3 minutes walk to Saint Pancras and Kings Cross stations. Rooms are tiny - I could only walk at one side of the bed, and the ensuite shower room was 6 feet by 2 feet. However, the included breakfast is fairly good and the place is clean though quite well-worn.

I booked at this hotel, and when I arrived, it turned out they did not have a room for me, so they took me in Wardonia Hotel, nearby, but I still had to come in the morning for a breakfast to Central Hotel - the breakfast was bad - everything either cold, or salty, and instead, what should have been...

Just about the worse place I have stayed in, in the past 30 years. It is old and decrepit with narrow stairs and no lift. Some bedrooms even have a shared bathroom!! Tiny rooms only about 10 x 8 feet with a small bathroom, just like prison cel!! The best thing about the place is the door that takes you...

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighbourhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
