One night stay- usual hotel close to the client was fully booked. Expected it not to be great but at c.€100 (!). Friendly enough greeting, then marched up to the attic....and saw the room hardly standing room next to the bed , bathroom was less than 1m wide. Would have been ok but the bed was so old and lumpy...

I work in London so trying to find an hotel at a reasonable price is difficult, I booked this hotel for 3 nights at £390. I turn up at the hotel which is covered in scaffolding and thought surely this cannot be a hotel. I rang the bell and waited for somebody to let me in. I couldn't believe the...

From the moment you arrive the place feels unloved and unkept. There was fast food packaging on the railings outside. You then have to ring a bell which takes ages to get answered. There is no reception so you have to go down to the basement back office to collect your key. There was only one key for the room...

Absolute dismal $hithole of a hotel. £129 for a night. Hideous room (11 - second floor), just one light fitting (no lamps), thin duvet, hard lumpy pillows and knackered mattress. Saggy peach curtains. Last decorated in the late '70s/early 80s. Paint peaking off the shower cubicle on massive chunks. Nasty. Won't be staying for a shower or breakfast.

Had a one night stay as we did the tourist thing in London. I don't think I could have stayed for another night! The location is excellent. We arrived at 10am after a really early train from Newcastle to store our bags and get changed. There isn't an open front like most hotels, you have to ring the bell and...

If you simply need somewhere to get your head down for the night and don't want to pay much, this place is fine. We paid £129 while the holiday inn would have been over £300. It's a bit rundown but the bed was clean (as was the bathroom) and comfortable and a great location.

This is one of the cheapest places to stay in the centre of London. So don't expect too much, or anything in fact. My room was like a prison cell with a shared bathroom but I knew that before I got there. More like a 1 star hotel I gave it 4 because it's so cheap, I knew it would...

We booked two quadruple rooms to sleep 8 girls out for a Hen party. We needed a bed to sleep in, hot water, clean towels, linen, a hairdryer and breakfast. We got exactly what we needed. This hotel is super basic but the rooms were spacious and beds were comfy. So central to all tube stations and nightclubs. If you're...

I can't say much good about this hotel... bit dirty, uncomfortable. but most impression was during breakfast. I think they dont have any ventilation system, so when somebody orders fried egg then all hotel can smell that :) breakfast area is really small

It took me a while to get used to this place. At first I was put off by the old, tattered facilities; but once I got used to that I was able to enjoy the location and friendly service. Many of the facilities are old and in bad shape: torn curtains, worn carpet, peeling walls, minimal furniture, etc.

“Room 15, top floor! LOTS of stairs, but the cupboard opens into Narnia...”
  • The view of the backyard may not be thrilling, but it made for a very quiet room
  • The old beams in the ceiling gave the room a feeling of history - and also made it feel spacious
  • A double and a single bed - and still floor space! (Sorry about our mess..)
