The title sums it up really, this isn't a hotel more a guest house without a dining room so no meals available. You can get breakfast at a nearby hotel for an extra cost £4 I think but I decided against this. Room as I said was clean and tidy but up a fairly steep an uneven staircase. I could...

Myself and two mates wanted somewhere cheapish to stay that was in central London. We found this place 5 mins from Marble Arch tube station. Triple room was £49 each. Ok, it could do with a lick of paint but the location was superb, room fine, beds/linen clean and fresh and bathroom clean. Ideal for what we needed, probably wouldn't...

We were given a smokers room which had the most pungent smell. We did not request a smokers room. No other rooms were available and the staff obliged to the request of refund. And at 6pm we had no accommodation (we were checking in before attending the reception of a friends wedding). Thankfully we have internet on our phones in...

Stayed on one night on a theatre trip. The staff were helpful and friendly, the room was on the 3rd floor, quiet clean, well equipped including hair drier and ironing board and a reasonable size. If you are elderly you may have difficulty climbing the steep stairs

I stayed here for a long weekend with my mum and niece. We booked the two bedroom apartment and it was ok. I knew it was a basement flat so the view was as expected but the flat did have plenty of daylight. The windows opened but they were old and drafty. The flat was very clean and had everything...

One first thing to get over... the place is old. Very old. You must accept that before walking through the door otherwise (like my missus) you'll be disappointed. The staff are friendly enough. No problems there. We were in room 8 which is on the 3rd floor and the stair climb is pretty brutal, made worse by the loose bannister...

I was "bumped" into this Hotel by another hotel who had overbooked. We had a twin room on the ground floor. In many ways this is not a Hotel but a Guest House, or a Bed and Breakfast... but no! It doesnt do breakfast! It was not cheap, it had dated decoration, it had a large bathroom without a bath,...

Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.

“Room Nr 3 is not facing the main street and was surprisingly quiet! Maybe noisy if people check-out early in the morning as you were able to hear the phone ringing and people talking.. maybe try go get a room in the 3rd or 4th floor.”
