I stayed at the London House Hotel for five nights and was impressed by the value of the room. Sure, the rooms are small but I knew to expect this from reading other reviews and I only spent time there while sleeping or showering, so the size didn't bother me - I still had plenty of room to keep my...

We had a garden view double room on the first floor. Advantages: nice view of park, tons of restaurants and pubs in the area, three Tube stops nearby. Room was nicely appointed and immaculate, staff efficient. Beds very comfortable, plenty of towels and washcloths. Disadvantages: breakfast didn't look too good (we passed). Walls very thin, bad luck if you are...

The location, accessibility, decor and overall value for money for this property in a quiet square close to all amenities are excellent. I only noted a few minor niggles during a one night stay: - bedroom and 'double' bed small, but adequate for a single. - audible noise from corridor and adjacent rooms can be disturbing late at night. -...

Good location, good prices but the rooms are too small, Next to two underground stations and to a very nice pub. Best for single person. Walking distance to Notting Hill, Hyde Park, Portobello Market and even to Royal Albert Hall or Science Museum.

Very spartan but has the essentials in the room. The rooms are quite small but clean and modern. Even if you are a single person I recommend a double room for more space. No rooms are that expensive in any case. No restaurant, but who cares? Just around the corner on Queensway there are many restaurants. Close to the tube...

Had the great pleasure of staying here while on business close by. Cost was incredibly good value for Kensington. I stayed in room 408, not too large but extremely comfortable and more importantly spotlessly clean. For the money I paid I loved this hotel. I have a project coming up close by and hope to have many more nights here....

Wonderful hotel, excellent location! Safe, quiet, and near several Underground stations including Bayswater and Queensway. The price is great and the room was tasteful and clean--reasonable breakfast is also offered. Rooms are comfortable and small, but knowing this, we got the largest room overlooking the gardens, and it was perfect. The shower is wonderful. Walking distance to Notting Hill, Portobelo...

Great hotel! Excellent location, good price, central location and professional staff. The room was spotless, tastefully decorated and the shower was lovely and warm! The bed was extremely comfortable. I did hear a few guests going to their rooms/getting up early etc but nothing that overly disturbed me and overall I had a really restful night. A great find and...

The room is hardly for a couple to stay in. If you're planning to stay a bit in the room, my advice is either get a bigger room or go to another hotel. The location is splendid though, with two underground stations nearby that can take you anywhere in London. Just outside of the hotel, there are plenty of eateries...

The hotel is in a very convenient location, close to Bayswater station, and a walking distance from Kensington Gardens and Palace as well as Notting Hill and Portobelo road market. The room was comfortable, clean and warm. The breakfast was excellent, specially considering the price, only 7 pounds. The receptionists could be a little friendlier, with the exception of the...

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighbourhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
