Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We needed a central place to stay for a night while sightseeing, and this fit the bill perfectly. I had emailed the hotel staff in advance and received prompt responses. We were able to drop off our bags early before check-in, and when we did come back to check-in later we were helped by Barnaby to get into our room so we could charge our phones, and in the meantime he got us an outdoor table and we ordered some delicious appetizers (burrata and the salmon) and a drink. We had similarly helpful service the following day. We were happy with the room and bathroom since we were only staying one night. While it was small, it had everything we needed, comfortable bed, and very convenient location. If we come back to London and need a place to stay for a few nights, we would definitely come back.

Honestly - diabolical. They seated us nearly 20 mins late, one of the staff had an argument with a coworker in front is us, it took nearly an hour an a half to get our food and then our 3 roast beefs were bleeding out on the plate. My friend’s lamb was over cooked and had to be replaced. When we mentioned this to the manager he honestly didn’t care. The service was both rude and slow. I used to love this place but it was the worst meal I’ve ever had in London without even an apology. The manager just didn’t. I will never go back.

The Orange is located in a wonderful charming area. The restaurant is great, have eaten here several times. However on this visit we decided to try one of the rooms. Now I knew they were small, but they are also in serious need of a face lift. The bathroom has mold growing in it (in addition to smelling of must and mold) and the curtains are shredded and there are small moths in the rooms that live in those curtains. Everything is a little tired. TV remotes don't work. The wifi is atrocious and this hotel should not advertise wifi as it is more intermittent than trying to get wifi in outback. Please please please upgrade your wifi for your guests or don't say you have it. And the rooms need a serious facelift. Restaurant staff are great, although I had requested that the hotel manager contact me and never heard a word.

My new wife and I had our wedding lunch and evening party at The Orange this weekend. It was a fantastic experience from the brilliant and friendly staff to the function room to the hotel room that evening. We would highly recommend it! Thanks to everyone for making our big day even more special

I went to the orange with a friend, the staff were so lovely and the food was unreal. We had the squid which was mouth watering and the burrata which was served on with refreshing cabbage and pumpkin!

I regularly come to the orange for food and is definitely one of my favourite places to eat in Chelsea, the setting is beautiful. My friend and I came to the Orange on Thursday. It was the perfect evening. For food we had the focaccia, burrata and crispy squid it was delicious and for pud the chocolate tart. The burrata was sublime, the dressing it came with was soo good. The service as always was great, the staff are attentive and kind.

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for a night away to celebrate my 30th birthday. On arrival it was very busy (we arrived around 5pm on a Friday night so as expected) - the bar staff directed us to the restaraunt however it took a while for someone to help us and take us to our room. We booked a superior suite and were escorted to The Orange Room. - this was nice but I'm not sure what made is superior. It looks much more spacious on the picture and you can hear noise from the pub downstairs. The bed however was extremely comfy and we had a great nights sleep. We didn't eat at the pub in the evening but did come back for drinks after dinner. The bar staff were very helpful and it had a good vibe for a Friday night. The most dissappointing part of our stay was the breakfast. I understand this is complimentary but as the rooms are not cheap we expected this to be of at least an edible standard (I've added a picture so you can fuly understand). On arrival for breakfast we were greated by a helpful lady who asked if what we wanted - there was no menu so it was a bit of a guessing game but we found the options were egg, bacon and avocado (they don't serve sausages) or granola. She then asked how we'd like our eggs - poached, scrambled or fried. After waiting around 30-40 minutes breakfast arrived and was inedible. The bacon was all fat and I don't think the chef had ever poached an egg in their life. After giving us food the staff all dissapeard and didn't come back. We evenutally left the key at the bar and went. Overall I'd say this is a nice hotel (and probably better at quieter times of the year) but the service could be improved upon.

My husbands chicken was delicious but my burger was dry. I was hoping for better as it wasn’t cheap. The restaurant was so cold, all of the guests either had their coats on /scarves wrapped round them whilst eating. When I went to wash my hands, after leaving the hot tap running for a considerable time, gave up and washed hands in cold water.

I stayed at The Orange on a Saturday as I was attending an event in Battersea Park. The location was ideal, as it is within 10 minutes walk of the park and about the same time from Victoria Station. The room was full of charm and personality, which made it stand out from your regulate chain hotel. The pub served a tasty breakfast the morning after.
