My wife and I are not fussy we were just looking for an overnight stay as we were catching an early train to Brussels the next day! We only used it to sleep so was adequate especially for the price! Wouldn't stay longer than a night in there though!

Don't be attracted by the price, spend the extra £20 and go somewhere nice!! Only given one star so I could review the dump. Stayed in a room on the top floor, tight and narrow staircase, first floor smelt of wee, second floor smelt of cigarette smoke, top floor STANK of cannabis!! We stayed for two nights and the smell... Dirty marks on the walls and ceiling, scorch marks on the curtains, stink of cigarette smoke all over the building, missing lightbulbs on the landing so you have to make your way to your room and open the door in the dark, wifi that never worked. We were there for four nights and our room was not cleaned once, toilet-paper... More

So basic I felt like going out to buy a tool kit and a parachute in case of fire (the stairs would probably fall off the wall if more than one person was on them). Can understand the lack of lampshades, only gather dust - but the lack of light bulbs? Going up the road to the Meridiana next time.

This was scary regarding health and safety issues such as where was fire escape plan. . 58 stairs to our room. No light on landing. Room barer than a cell block ( and yes I have been in one). The barest of rooms ever in my entire life. No lampshade just a grotty bulb above our heads. Telly plonked 4... More

The location of this hotel is 100% perfect. It's a 2 minute walk to both Kings Cross and St Pancras station and less than half the price of most nearby hotels. Yes the hotel is basic, but at the price you pay what can you expect! Our room was clean, with fresh towels and soap left out for us. We... More

The Hotel (well, accommodation) was adequate. It is very close to St. Pancras set off the main road and ideally located for the station and underground. Was travelling on the Eurostar for the day to go The Somme Memorial at Thievpal in France but stayed at the premises for two nights due to timings. The room was clean and tidy... More

We knew this would be a basic hotel due to cost, however were not expecting quite so basic! No breakfast included. Staff rude and unhelpful. Window broken and would not close so I got very little sleep. Shower poor. Toilet flush handle broken. On the plus side the bedding etc was clean.

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighbourhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
