This booking was for pre COVID booking, so over two year old. Firstly they honoured the booking, but it took a while to find in the reception records. Then the issues arose. But let do the positives, staff friendly, the hotels position great for the Royal Albert Hall, 15 minutes walk. The attached restaurant good food and good service, prices very reasonable. Breakfast continental included in price, fry up extra. Now the issue, our room, which was why reception had problems with, , if anyone uses is hotel avoid room 312. Open door and step down into bedroom area, and the door hits the bed, so door only opens half way. The pillows were either brick or half inflated ballon types. The air con seem unable to control the room temperature. The kettle still had water in it. To get to the bathroom was up and down another step. We told all this on leaving to reception, who apologised. One night bearable, but not more. We would use hotel again , as long as not room 312…
The hotel is in a great position and there is a tube station just opposite. The welcome that I received when I arrived was warm and friendly. In fact, all the staff were incredibly polite. The room was quite small, but it was good enough for me, as I was only there for one night. I would definitely use again.
I have been staying at the Montana Hotel on and off for at least 30 years. Good clean rooms, very courteous staff, great breakfast. And if you fancy an excellent Indian restaurant, go not further; it's right there on the premises. If not, many others nearby :-) Some of London's most important museums are just minutes away on foot. Unbeatable location. Just across road from Gloucester Road tube station, surrounded by all the big store names. Buzzing with life. Përfect for for Heathrow and Gatwick. Doesn't get much better! Chapeau!! What a great hotel - made extra special by their attentive staff who were so polite and worked extremely hard to ensure everyone enjoyed their stay. The reception and breakfast staff were very welcoming and extremely helpful. We had a continental breakfast with plenty of choice of fresh fruit, pastries, cereals and breads - delicious. The location was perfect for the tube, restaurants. supermarkets etc. Fabulous stay - a credit to all staff who work there. Thank you
I've put very good for this rating as it's certainly better than average - I would class it as good! Mrs Moose fancied a break in London to see an exhibition - this hotel was in a great location. It's a short walk from Gloucester road station and a convenient walk to Kensington Gardens. The hotel was clean and the breakfast good - nothing outstanding, but just what was needed. We didn't dine at the Indian restaurant. It was also useful that they would store your baggage upon arrival until your room was ready and after checking out. One point to note - our room was very small - not a problem for a couple of nights, but not ideal if you were staying longer.
Great location - opposite Tube station and within 10 mins walk to Royal Albert Hall, Kensington Gardens, Museums. Booked a twin and friendly staff put us in a family room 110. Clean comfy room, good shower pressure. Only slight grumble was toilet difficult to flush (and had no lid), couldn’t get the air con to work. We had full English breakfast in with our room rate - lovely and freshly cooked. Plenty of choice with continental also. Would book again when in the area. Many thanks to all staff.
I would like to say a big thank you to the entire hotel staff.( cleaner, reception, breakfast) all very polite, helpful. Very affectionate with my granddaughter and my daughter. When I come back to London I 100% want to stay at the Montana hotel again. Much success to you!!
Fabulous place stay and make your trip good, the indian food is to good, all staaf is so coporating and humble but specially kampus and Desmond are the great person I ever met. They treated me as a family member, love u guys, just go and visit the place
Very comfortable stay room was fresh and staff helpful & friendly. The location is excellent just short work from the tube. Included breakfast had lots of choice and we ate in their restaurant light of India for pre theatre dinner which was also good. Good value for central London
We arrived to be told that there had been a problem with the room and they were moving us to another hotel down the road. We arrived at a reasonable time and had booked months ahead Sadly this other hotel was not the standard we had booked. Disappointed we didn’t get to stay at the Montana
