We spent a full week at the Montana and it’s a great spot for exploring all of London’s must see attractions. There’s a tube station less than 100m away, plenty of shops, restaurants and pubs close by. Walking distance to Royal Albert Hall and The Museum of Natural History. Our room was small, clean and comfortable. En-suite bathroom was tiny...

Stayed recently in this hotel while on a short break to London. The location is excellent for visiting London with a tube station nearby and also within walking distance for many of the city's attractions. Breakfast was very good and the bar service, run by Peter was excellent. We used the adjoining Indian Restaurant for one evening meal, which again...

We just got back from 7 nights lodging at the Montana and it was great. The rooms are small as rooms always are in Europe but clean and tidy. When one travels to London, one does not travel there to stay in the room, so the room was perfect. The room was quiet, clean and big enough. The location is...

My husband and I stayed here for 7 nights. This hotel is situated in the best location. A few steps from the Gloucester tube station, a grocery store and many wonderful pubs, where the food is very good and the ale's are cold(Gloucester Arms). Also you're in walking distance to alot of major attractions, The Royal Albert Hall is about...

The Montana Hotel is just two crosswalks away from the Gloucester Road tube station, making it extremely convenient for travelling to and from Heathrow. We had about 24 hours in London before picking up a car from the airport, so we figured we'd stay somewhere on the Picadilly line and train in and out. The area the Montana's located in...

Everything about this hotel and our stay was fantastic. Beautiful setting, a minute from the tube and very well maintained from the outside, to the lobby, to the bedroom we had and the restaurant for breakfast. Everything is very clean and fresh and the bedroom with both a double and single bed was more than big enough for me and...

We arrived at Heathrow from Canada and found easy access to the Tube on the Picadilly Line. Travel time to the Gloucester Street Station during peak time was about 45 minutes. Exiting left from the Gloucester Street station, we walked about 3 minutes and crossed the road to the hotel. Location is terrific, they have an Indian restaurant in the...

Stayed here for 3 nites in a family room for 5 people (3 kids under 10). Room 500 on the ground floor had no view but was spacious, very clean and had 2 double beds and one large single as well as ensuite bathroom (with bath) and fridge. London was 32 degrees the day we arrived and we were so...

The location was just across the street from the Gloucester Tube Station which is served by the District, Circle and Picadilly lines....perfect to get most anywhere. The staff was friendly and helpful. Several other reviewers complained that the rooms were too small and not that nice for the price but I did think they were typical of any European hotel...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
