Neighbourhood
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.

The room (104) was not as advertised. It had no way of allowing natural light into the room. It was unclean had no toiletries and badly fitted doors, of which I am sure would break every health and safety fire regualtion. The bathroom had a flimsy bolt lock to a dirty rooftop area, poor security. No one on reception (even though it said there would be someone there between 10 and 5 monday to friday. No basics in the rooms, no table with a chair and a TV that didn't work. When I asked if there was a table, I was told I could use a bedside table to work on, hilarious. The smell and noise coming from whoever lived downstairs (at 3am) also added to the bonus of the cracked window pains and a disgusting sight onto the roof which looked filthy. Do not book at this horrid place.

I booked this hotel through Booking.com and I need to change the dates due to unforeseen Circumstances. I don't want to cancel, just move the dates. HOWEVER, i will pay anyone £20 if they can contact the hotel via the Phone or Email AND RECEIVE A REPLY! I have called the hotel 28 times with NO ANSWER. I have emailed them direct and through booking.com 6 times with NO ANSWER. It is impossible to get hold of anyone in the hotel (short of walking through the door, which I don't want to do until I am staying there). Absolutely Ridiculous! I would say AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!

Well... I’m sad that I didn’t visit tripadvisor before we came in here! This hotel is your worst nightmare. When we got inside the stink of mildew was overwhelming. It looks old and dirty. We got in our room and there’s no air conditioning whatsoever. Our beds were like boxes at least the sheets were clean. The room itself was untidy. We didn’t feel safe because the door didn’t lock properly and the front door is held open 24/7. Also you can see the huge cap down of our door in the picture. In the night I heard something scratching in our little garbage bin. I was terrified to death and too scared to look inside. I assume it was a cockroach or some other “cute” pet of the hotel. There were actually a mini TV and wifi that worked normally but, if you cannot sleep it’s not worth it!

Because of illness location is the most important thing in booking a hotel. That is really the only good thing about this place. The hotel is extremely dated and very basic. There is no coffee making facilities in the room and no toiletries in the bathroom. 1 pane in the window was boarded up, the mirror on the wardrobe was broken and the overall decor is well below par. The bathtub was very small and did not feel safe showering. If you must be near Baker Street there are other choices and it would be worth paying a little more.

The manager was not there a lot of the time to check into your room. There is no wheelchair friendly rooms as my friend is disabled, so I didn't like that, but me and her were put on the first floor, so I can't complain too much about that. The room was dirty. The bathroom was tiny and also dirty. The bed isn't comfortable. I don't even think it gets clean as often as it should. There is only one person running the whole hotel it seemed. I DO NOT recommend this hotel. Stop in somewhere nicer in London. :)

Is there any where to leave bags if can't check in til 3
This is not a sofisticated place. It has a simple lobby and desk for checking in. The one member of staff, if he can be found, has a place down stairs and should be amenable to requests.
