Centrally located hotel, with many major sights in London within walking distance. Pretty good value for money. It is a big hotel and somewhat impersonal. A bit basic - but clean - room and bathroom. Staff not very enthusiastic, but ok helpful when addressed. Breakfast varied, plentiful and good.
hotel is calm, the bed is comfortable. breakfast was good. I had a very good stay. In terms of quality / price is the best in the region.I will not hesitate to return next time. for a short stay I will recommend it
Located in a great area in London, very good option for short stays. The staff at front desk was polite, the two evening guys are just AMAZING, you guys rock that place!!!! They have a storage room for early check in and late check out. Daily breakfast included with many options although sunday was crazy! The room simple but clean. Please consider AC for summer, fans or at least to open the window wide!
Worth the price for travelers on low budget who still want some privacy. - Location is good but not perfect. You have to walk 10-15 min to the nearest tube station, but Waterloo is also walking distance to Waterloo station (that takes you to Windsor and other cities). There are plenty bus lines in the street behind the hotel - This part of Southbank is deserted at night, so solo female travelers might feel unsafe (though nothing bad happened to me) - The hotel seemed really clean to me, with a person coming to clean the bathroom every two days - Staff is friendly and helpful. They answer questions thoughtfully and engage in conversations to make you feel welcome - The breakfast is delicious and has plenty of options. Be aware that after 10a.m. might be a huge line)queue for it, try to arrive earlier - The single room is spacious, but I got a back room facing some commercial buildings in the first floor. This part was terrible because there's a lot of noise coming from the street (a lot of bars nearby) and my window was literally facing the building in front (I could see people working in their desks, and of course they could see me, so my curtains were closed all the time) - My advice is to try to arrive really near the check-in hour, so you might negotiate a better room - There's a luggage room for those who arrive earlier than check in or need to stay after check out, it's free but it isn't really safe. The luggages just stay in the wide open room, without lockers, and with one guy overlooking it all. You can't leave valuable things there - Laundry is a little bit complex to use (you have to install an app in your phone), but it served me well…
I spent 2 nights here in a single en-suite room & it was a very good experience. Friendly staff & great breakfast. Good to have a kettle in the room. Wonderful view of the Shard too. Location is really handy for Tate Modern & the river. Nearest tube is either Borough or Southwark. No early check in but they’ll store luggage if you arrive early. Highly recommended.
