my brother-in law, his wife and my wife have just enjoyed our best ever 2 night stay in any London hotel.
The ME Hotel at Covenant Garden was totally out of this world.
The magnificence of the exterior and interior was unbelievable. Beautifully tiled surfaces and magnificently high ceilings had us captivated from the moment we entered.
The reception we had was beyond friendly with the staff extremely keen to ensure your stay was everything you had dreamed of.
After a very welcoming glass of free champagne we were shown to our rooms which had every gadget you could of imagined.
Each room had wonderful air conditioning and neat little touches that is hard to find anywhere else in the capital within this price bracket.
The bed was long and wide with lovely pillows and crisp linen sheets. Maid service was available every morning and left your room as new again.
The corridors were discreetly lit to prevent noise near any of the bedrooms.
The dining area was well laid out and we all enjoyed a full English breakfast each morning although a continental feast was also readily available.
There are two main restaurants one specializing in steaks and the other in Italian cuisine.
I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Discover it for yourself. We will certainly be back very soon.
Special thanks to Tawii Aura (host) alongside Victor and the rest of the crew including their very helpful doorman who was full of information which greatly helped our stay.

We accidentally stayed here for a night when I messed up our reservations at the Waldorf and I couldn't have been happier. The service was spot on and the ability to find space for 13 of us on the roof terrace for drinks went above and beyond. The view is spectacular and our visiting American friends were suitably impressed. The room was enormous and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. Looking forward to returning soon, thank you.

This hotel really is a hidden gem in the heart of the west end. If you’re going to see a show then this hotel is perfectly placed to reach so many theatres on foot, or with a short taxi ride. It’s just around the corner from Covent Garden so you’re not short of places to go. As you step inside you’re welcomed with friendly staff who can’t do enough for you. Luca, who dealt with our seamless check in was happy to welcome us with complimentary drinks whilst taking our details. We were then shown to our room by Tawaii, who made sure that we were completely comfortable with our room and that we had everything we needed. She had even arranged a welcome fruit platter, which was a lovely surprise!
The room we had was very large and included all you could need, including toiletries, a double rainfall shower, bath robes, slippers, a Dyson hairdryer & GHD straighteners. After a great nights sleep, we headed up to the rooftop bar for a complimentary breakfast. The portions on the hot food were very generous and the selection of food from the buffet was incredible. You definitely don’t leave hungry.
We’ll definitely be staying again.

The room was dreary with poorly thought out lighting and air conditioning that did not respond to the control panel so the room was either too hot or too cold. Furniture seemed to be chosen with no consideration for comfort. The safe is positioned in a drawer below the space for luggage and has a lid that does not open fully. With a case on the shelf above it is completely inaccessible.

Service was erratic - the person who showed us to reception to checkin failed to hand over the luggage ticket so our bags came only when we chased them up with the concierge.. The bathroom had no shampoo but two bottles of shower gel - we asked twice for this to be corrected but instead got a third bottle of shower gel! It took a further call to the concierge to get some shampoo. At checkout for an early flight a sign directed us to the concierge as reception was closed but the staff member on duty at the desk said he ddid not know how to do this. We had to leave without a bill .

The Radio bar has a really good mixologist who makes good cocktails properly but the food service is very poor. The food is a strange mixture of dishes from a range of oriental cuisines and the staff could not clearly describe some dishes, explain the organisation of the menu (no separation into small or large plates, starters or mains etc ) or give guidance on what might constitute a reasonable meal. The food was mediocre, dishes arrived in random order. One starter arrived first but the second came at the same time as the main courses despite us being clear what we would like first. The food is very expensive considering the low quality.

The decor was mostly black marble - and looked like they had got a cheap deal from a bankrupt funeral parlor. This meant public areas were gloomy and dark. It felt an appropriate setting for the funereal speed and poor level of service from many of the staff.

Dear guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are delighted to hear that our mixologist at the Radio Rooftop bar crafted cocktails to your satisfaction, offering you a taste of the high-quality experiences we strive to provide. Our hotel is indeed renowned for its panoramic views and the dynamic atmosphere of our rooftop, which is an integral part of the aspirational lifestyle we aim to offer. We regret to hear that some aspects of your stay did not meet your expectations. While our furniture is selected to echo the contemporary European culture that inspires us, we understand that comfort is paramount and we take your feedback seriously. It's concerning to hear about the challenges you faced with our air conditioning system; please rest assured that our rooms are equipped with individually controlled air conditioning for the comfort of our guests. We hope that you will return in the future for a more enjoyable stay. Kindest regards, Martina Piovesan, Voice of Customer Coordinator

We arrived from Boston super early on the Monday before Christmas. Our room wasn’t ready so Cristina in reception pulled some strings and upgraded us to the ME+ 2 bedroom penthouse suite for the first 3 nights of our 5 night stay! We had to pay a little more each night but they threw in breakfast every day during our stay. The room was impressive with its “tower room” and we enjoyed sitting up there at the beginning and end of each day to take in the sights of London. Overall the room was great with wonderful toiletries provided in the shower and by the sinks and beds, coffee and tea and snacks and a minibar (BE AWARE: the snacks and drinks in the mini fridge are NOT complimentary! We did not know this until checkout and were extremely surprised that it was not included with ME+ rooms. There are no prices listed anywhere which let us to believe it was all complimentary). The layout was great for us with separate bedrooms and a large dining table where we could eat as a family. The major drawback of the penthouse was that we could hear a ton of street noise through the balcony doors and noise from the Radio Bar above the main bedroom. The beds were not super comfortable although it was nice to have the ability to split the king into two twins for my older boys. We also had tons of trouble with the ventilation system. Every night around 1-2am all four of us would wake up sweating since it seemed like the air stopped moving when there was no motion in the room. Another issue was the lighting. There were a ton of switches but there was no rhyme or reason to which switch operated which lights. It was super frustrating.
We moved rooms to a two bedroom ME+ suite on night 4 and to be honest, it was a nicer layout except for the lack of a king bed in the second bedroom and no large dining table. One of our boys had to get a rollaway bed placed in the common lounge area. We still had the same problem with the ventilation system and lighting. There was also a smell coming from the entire bathroom in the primary after it was cleaned on the second day. It was like the floors were mopped with urine. It was disgusting!
Despite the issues with the rooms, Cristina was a wonderful asset to the hotel. She went above and beyond to help us with everything from check in to check out. She even placed a special note, balloons and Lion King items in our room on the evening we went to see The Lion King musical!!! We were touched by her thoughtfulness.

I stayed at the ME London in early October ‘24 and booked the hotel at the suggestion of friends who were getting married nearby. They assured me that if I joined the ME rewards that my hotel rate would be lower than the rates marketed online and as lowly priced as if they’d secured a room block. I made my reservation five (5) months before my arrival date.

On the day of arrival, I checked in at 11:30 AM and was told my room would be secured by 3 PM. I’d requested an early check in, but apparently no rooms were available. As the day went on, I checked twice on the status of my room and eventually had to shower and change for a wedding event in a friend’s room because my room wasn’t ready. I didn’t get access to my room until almost 3:30 (hours after many friends arrived and got into their rooms).

Thankfully, one of the managers, Javier Martinez, made it his mission to improve my stay. He met with me personally to apologize and offered me breakfast and dinner at Radio. Upon checkout, the hotel wrongly charged me for mini bar items and Javier had the charges reversed.

The good:
Max at the concierge desk
Wayne, the bartender at Radio
Javier Martinez, the hotel’s manager on duty.

Covenant Garden is a great area!

The bad:
Despite signing up for the membership, getting 200 points, and reserving my room within the required time frame, having a basic room without breakfast included, I was charged at least $500 more than friends who had the same exact accommodations and booked months later.

My room wasn’t cleaned for two days and the third day only because I called down to request service after being away all morning.

Price check around because to me, the ME wasn’t worth the $1800 US over three nights that I was charged.

My wife and I spent a night at the hotel.
Many things were good including our check in, room and dinner at Radio Roof Top. The room was a Extra ME+ Junior Suite which was really well designed, we loved the bathroom with a massive double rainfall shower, a well appointed living room and some of the best audio we’ve heard in a hotel we were able to easily connect to various speakers built into the ceilings of each room. Nothing but praise for the room.
What was not so good was.

Requesting certain items to be ironed, informed we would be contacted to confirm timings and then an employee knocking our door to say it couldn’t be done.

At 6:45am,our door was knocked by a member of the room service team (we did not order).
Upon telling this to the individual, we were told that (abruptly) no mistake was made. Eventually. Said person recognised their error and left.

Having breakfast at Luciano by Gino D’Acampo
- requested medium done poached eggs that arrived raw, highlighting issue and told re-cooked eggs would be provided that were never received.
- waiting over 20minutes for coffee
All of the above was communicated to a customer rep who apologised - really made no difference.

Upon check out, we were asked how we viewed our stay. All of the above was stated and consequently our parking fee was removed.

The ME London is a beautifully crafted hotel with glossy, marble walls and dim lights and in a great location. But there was no heart to it. Reception is on the first floor and you're greeted at the concierge desk before being brought up. The room, which was a city view with terrace, was very nice. We visited the bar on the top floor and that was nice too - DJ playing the beats. However, in spite of all the glossiness and five 'starishness' it was a cold place to stay (and I'm not talking about the temperature). Also, a discretionary accomodation tax of 5% was requested upon leaving which I was surprised at as the accomodation was very expensive anyway. Maybe if I had been a few decades younger I would have appreciated the hotel's 'vibe' more but I didn't realise until now how much I prefer a hotel with a welcoming reception on the ground floor and a good old lounge/bar area.

We have been staying at the Melia London almost since it opened, and the service continues to improve. The room booked on the 6th floor was quite spacious with a large shower and views of the theater. The reception is undoubtedly the most spacious and welcoming area of the hotel and the arrival with a glass of champagne makes it even better. Thanks to Aura Manager Jaimeh and his team for treating us so wonderfully. Our favorite hotel in London.
