How this hotel is rated 5 star is simply beyond me. Perhaps the only bits which are are the reception and restaurant. Nothing else is. The room I was in was poorly decorated and the bathroom was very shabby.

If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are
highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
No, some of them are smoking rooms. I asked for early checkin after long haul flight, I’ve checked the smoking room which was only available at that time. It’s clean but still the cigarette smell was still there. I didn’t... More

They do not have a club level but most of their rates include full English Breakfast. They have a lovely afternoon tea, not included and serve nuts/mixed olives in the evenings. I stayed there during renovations and was never bothered by it as they are doing it in sections. I would email the hotel and enquirer about the construction, though they should be close to done. The location is awesome, and the service was fantastic so much so I’m staying there again in May.
