I just needed a hotel for 1 night close to Kings Cross due to travel & work commitments. The Meridiana provided a clean, tidy and comfortable solution at a very reasonable (london!) rate of £48 for a single room (bed and breakfast). 2 minute walk from Kings Cross but a nice quiet location, away from the hustle & bustle of...

I chose this hotel for where it was not what it was and therefore got what I expected. A good location for London exploration by tube at a ‘reasonable’ price. Some good pubs and restaurants close at hand. Good for catching the Eurostar. The rooms were tiny and you may have difficulty stuffing yourself and your luggage in so consider...

There is a real challenge (especially coming from abroad) in finding the needle in the haystack: the hotel among a huge number of nearly exactly identical (on the web, that is) hotels near Paddington, Kings Cross, etc., that is clean, friendly, and offers real value instead of simply cheap lodging. Meridiana, as other reviewers have suggested, is pretty close to...

We stayed here mainly because of the price and location, which are both good. The hotel is small and simple, a little dated but the people are friendly and hard working. Breakfast is fine and included in the price. Even though it's not the greatest of hotels, if you're not there much (because you'll be shopping or hanging around the...

I stayed in Hotel Meridiana for a family visit in London. In general, I found this hotel satisfactory for my needs. I stayed in a single basic room and I was satisfied with the room, especially with the bed which I found very comfortable. The shared bathroom and toilet were reasonable and seemed clean. The staff was nice and helpful...

I stayed here because of the price. I read of the cold, non-smiling staff and service. I brushed off such reviews and planned for the best. It wasn't bad at check in. The service was a bit chilly but not enough to notice. The rooms are very small, as in closet sized. But they have a coffee maker and a...

This was a good value budget hotel i central London at Kings Cross. Good breakfast. I will come back. When I left the hotel I had lost one of my credit-cards at the floor in the room whithout my notice. This was noticed to me by telephone from the hotel after a couple of days. And after a couple of...

I stayed for 5 nights at Hotel Meridiana and had a great time in London. The best part of this hotel is the location, and the value for money. It is just a couple of minutes walk from Kings Cross & St Pancras stations and the London Tube. There are plenty of cheap places to eat and shop nearby, and...

Besides not having a lift (definitely a good work out going up asnd down the winding staircase each day) this is an awesome budget inn among the other ones located in Kings Cross. Helpful staff, charming breakfast room with full breakfast, decent, clean rooms and excellent location by train and tube station. Across from park, quiet street. Great deal!

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighbourhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
