Grand Plaza apartments give you the independence and catering flexibility of your own home together with the comfort and service of a 4* hotel. Think of us as your home, but with cleaning, catering, porters and reception staff thrown in. Serviced apartments are the new direction for the hotel industry. They provide a ready made home rather than a ready made room. Each apartment has its own fully equipped kitchen. You choose whether to enjoy your own home cooking or try the Grand Plaza Breakfast or visit one of the myriad of restaurants within walking distance of the Hotel (or heat up a takeaway!) Grand Plaza is the largest Hotel/Apartment complex in Bayswater. We won the 2009 award for best serviced apartments in London as a result of votes from the readers of Business Destinations Magazine. We accommodate more people each day (tourist, leisure, romantic and business) than any other Serviced Apartment Hotel in the area.We are located in the centre of the West End overlooking the precise type of garden square which Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts climbed into in the Golden Globe nominated film, Notting Hill! We look forward to providing you with a home in central London.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The room is excellent. I slept well every night. The restaurant serves very tasty food, the portions were too much for me as I am a small eater. The hotel deserves a five star Would definitely come back next time in London

The exterior of the hotel is quite attractive, and it is in a nice area. However unfortunately the interior lets it down. The lobby is okay, but the lift is small and the hallways are narrow. The room we stayed in was dated, felt a little dirty and had a musty smell. The bed felt old and uncomfortable, the fold out couch is in desperate need of a clean and the shower is also in need of an upgrade. The surface of the shower is slippery, and the differing levels between the bathroom floor and the shower floor make it dangerous to step over the lip of the bathtub, especially with a toddler. The staff weren't very friendly at reception, and the taxi service they call for customers is overpriced and dodgy. We required a taxi to the train station upon departure, and clearly stated to the reception that we were paying by card. When I went to pay, the driver attempted to refuse my card, saying the machine wasn't working. I stated that I specifically stated that I will be paying card, and heard the receptionist pass this info on. After a small back on forth, he pulled out a card payment machine and (surprise surprise) it worked just fine. On a positive, the location of the hotel is beautiful and it is nearby to a great stretch of restaurants, shops, Tube stations and Kensington Gardens/Hyde Park.

Great location with friendly staff. Room was spacious and clean. Situated in a strategic location, quiet area not too far from two different metro line, eateries and supermarkets. Halal Restaurant available.

Comfortable bedding, cleaned daily, handy kitchen, cosy, bedroom large. However, couch needs replacing, floors uneven & never ending corridors with stairs & fire doors, making it difficult to transport luggage. Staff helpful, great position close to shops, Rest. & tube stations.

Excellent location- next to tube stations (Queensway/Bayswater). Many pubs, restaurants and supermarkets around. It seemed like excellent value for money for the location, compared to other hotels so close to central London. We are a family of 4 and the quadruple room was just fine- a bit of a tight fit, but not a problem. Facilities are not modern, but comfortable enough to enjoy your visit. Also, continental breakfast was poor, but this should not be a problem since there are many dining options near the hotel.

We reached aprtm before 8am, booked a courtyard view room but after check-in time the reception gave us a basement room with a view of the staircase. Reception said there was no more rooms left. No apology was given. So we left a pair of socks on the sofa but after day 1 of room service one of the socks was missing. The aprtm was not apologetic and responded that they can only try their best to find back with no promise. They made it sound like they were doing us a favour to find back my lost sock thats thrown by them. The aprtm was supposed to get back with an update after ine week of our stay but they remained silent even until we checked out. The sock is not important but the attitude and followup is terrible. Room was not supposed to have smoking, but there was pepertual cigarette smell coming in from the corridor through the door gaps all day long. No need to even comment about the sound proofing.

apt 101 There were 6 in our party We were allocated a 2 bedroom apt both rooms having ensuite one room had bath and overhead shower other room had walk in shower. both rooms were single beds. Lovely toiletries were provided. There was sofa bed in sitting room already made up. We had a table and 6 chairs. This proved to be very tight with no room to move. A small galley kitchen microwave,(this has been placed rather high if you are not tall) stove top, kettle, fridge there is a dishwasher but this should be replaced with a cupboard as no where to store food little work surface area Beds were comfortable I did ask if there was an apartment with more space but was told they were all the same layout. This apt is more suitable for 4 or 5 people Staff were friendly and helpful. Location is good 2 tube stations and local buses on hand There are a few food shops and restaurants and take away places on your door step.

This hotel was rated as a 4 star facility however it is old and dated and would struggle to be a 3 star place. The curtains were in tatters and hanging on one or two hooks, it was dark and dingy. The bathroom was so small that it was difficult for one person to be in it comfortably. The staff are unhelpful and not friendly. We stayed here for seven days and chose it as we wanted somewhere to relax in between sightseeing however it was not a nice place so spend as little time as possible there.

Rooms are disgusting! Don’t stay here! Better value elsewhere. Dirty old and tiny. Air conditioner heaters were covered in dirt. Windows didn’t lock. Kitchen knives in bottom cupboard accessible to children as there is no draws. Cigarette burns in curtains. Not safe for families!

Booked and paid for a one bedroom apartment in December 2022 for October 2023 and requested and confirmed a 1 bedroom apartment with twin beds. On arrival there was a small double bed in the bedroom. When I showed the Check In staff my confirmation booking for twin beds, they denied that they could ever guarantee specific bedding. There was a sofa bed in the lounge they made up for us but then we no longer had a lounge to sit on. The apartment was pokey with sloping floors and shower over a bath which was dangerous to climb in and out. Apartment complex is very old and rooms look nothing like they do on their website. I agree that location was good but everything else a 0 out of 10 and I would not recommend this accommodation.
