The Clarendon Hotel overlooks historic Blackheath. This area of London is very special with Greenwich Park, the River Thames and many fine attractions to visit. Situated in Blackheath Village with its many special shops, cafes and bars to enjoy, the Clarendon offers a village atmosphere close to the O2 Arena (10 mins), Central London and Excel in Docklands. All rooms are en-suite with facilities such as the Meridian Restaurant, Nautical Chart Bar. Parking - the hotel has a front and rear car park, however these do get filled. For alternative parking, there is street parking or the Blackheath Village train station car park, which has CCTV. With Blackheath in front of the hotel, we are of course dog friendly.

Crown double room was excellent - beautifully appointed, huge double bed. Lovely views across the heath. All that we wanted for our special one nighter. Really appreciated the personal feel of a family run hotel. Breakfast outstanding - huge choice and personal service at table

Lovely, spotlessly clean room. Helpful and kind staff, always courteous and friendly. Excellent breakfast with wide choice of well presented and freshly prepared hot and cold food. Comfortable bed but only one small problem: the pillows were quite hard and unyielding. This is a

Great reception. I had booked the wrong month but staff member put me at my ease and found me a room. The room was comfortable and I had view of the heath which I miss since moving to Kent. The restaurant is undergoing refurbishment but I had a nice meal in the bar. Also it is

Blackheath is serviced by the overground from the Blackheath Station. It takes you into Central London (London Bridge, Victoria, Charring Cross & Cannon Street, Waterloo East) Journey time is 20-25 mins. Lewisham nearby is service by the DLR and you have the Jubilee Line from the O2 (North Greenwich) which is 10 mins by bus. - The overground is nice and you get the view.

Hi just wondering anywhere around here to eat thats reasonably priced please
The village has everything form Cotes to Cafe Rouge, and many independents restaurants. And a good Napelise Everest Inn. Take a walk round the village is such a nice stroll. The hotel offer good bar and restaurant food at excellent prices also.

What is the cost of a day return into charing cross please?
Depends on whether have disabled railcard if disabled, this can reduce travel costs. Best idea is travel card or oyster as now known, this means abuse bus, tube and train. Best look on line or ask staff at hotel on reception as not only very helpful but also very knowlegable. Hope this helps. Enjoy your stay.
