The Clarendon Hotel overlooks historic Blackheath. This area of London is very special with Greenwich Park, the River Thames and many fine attractions to visit. Situated in Blackheath Village with its many special shops, cafes and bars to enjoy, the Clarendon offers a village atmosphere close to the O2 Arena (10 mins), Central London and Excel in Docklands. All rooms are en-suite with facilities such as the Meridian Restaurant, Nautical Chart Bar. Parking - the hotel has a front and rear car park, however these do get filled. For alternative parking, there is street parking or the Blackheath Village train station car park, which has CCTV. With Blackheath in front of the hotel, we are of course dog friendly.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Wi-Fi on the 3rd floor was very weak and constantly dropping us. Breakfast was good. Dinner less so. The people at the desk were very helpful although there was nothing they could do about the Wi-Fi.

Some of the staff were sarcastic and the food was atrocious !!
The fish and chips were off, the cod was yellow!!!
And as for the room? the radiators in the room were so noisy the room was outdated where the wallpaper was peeling off. Also the windows left cold air in.
This is what you expected for the privilege of an Executive Suite.

Staff are really helpful, breakfast staff excellent. Our room was spotlessly clean, although the room needs some upgrading in the near future, but was very comfortable and quiet. Blackheath is a great location, with nice shops and many restaurants to suit all tastes. Good transport links to central London and nice walking on the Heath and Greenwich Park.

We love the Clarendon, and now that we no longer live in Blackheath we use it as our base when we're back in London to see pals or work. We stayed twice in one week in November, mixing work appointments with socialising. We were able to get the rooms we like. As ever, spotlessly clean, quiet, delightful soft beds, cheery greetings on reception. The breakfast room is always a real treat - big, light-filled and easygoing

We stayed for two night at Clarendon hotel. The rooms are very dated and doors made so much noise when closed and we didn't get much sleep as a result. Despite that ,the team who organised our special occasion was great.Food was nice, decoration beautiful .All of them worked so hard to make our day very special.A big thank you goes to Venue leader which I've forgot her name(Jenny?) She was so professional and well organised. We will be happy recommend the venue and the team to anyone. However the hotel management can invest a bit of money on updating the room doors, carpets and the furniture inside. That means that the guest will be happy to come back to Clarendon Blackheath. Thank you to the Venue team for making our day memorable.

Nice hotel and breakfast was great. We only had 3 beds in our room upon arrival, when we were supposed to have 4, but they quickly added another after I mentioned it. Bus stop for the 02 Arena is across the road and runs 24 hours. We were all really impressed and will stay here again when seeing a show

Apart from the Breakfast our stay was not a good one. For the money I'm paying for the room i would of expected decent decor ie Wallpaper peeling of walls Wardrobe was all wonky Socket to Kettle didn't work. In the Bathroom the fixture & fittings were awful and broke. Generally needed a refresh & not very clean.

Our second stay at this Hotel, but this time it felt like we were in the broom cupboard it was no more than 3.5 m square maybe less. Service was good and staff were very friendly. Would stay again.
