Had a good weekend, the staff are always on hand to help out for extra pillows, two staff members made the weekend memorable for my niece with the free ice creams and Lolly's so thank you Neringa and Alexandra for making it special for her and her friend

Room was comfy although a little cold at times. We phoned through to reception and they switched the heating on in our room but at times it was cold air as opposed to hot. Seemed to be on a cycle and it was a little cold. Service in restaurant was very slow and we were left waiting a long time. There was a girl on her own behind the bar and she said yet again I'm on my own and we've got no glasses. Had to ask repeatedly for the breakfast buffet to be refilled and then a member if staff started to refill it and then walked off leaving us standing there so we had to ask another member of staff. Bar service was slow and when dinner came it was very overcooked.

We stayed at this Premier Inn mainly for its location and excellent public transport links very close by with DLR trains running every 10 minutes towards Canning Town and easy access to and from the M25 via the M11 and North Circular Road which is a hotel we’ve stopped at a few times in years gone by.

After arriving via public transport, we were checked in efficiently by a friendly, helpful lady on the reception in the main building with no queuing.

Like another Premier Inn we stopped at a few weeks previously things are a little different with the rooms not being serviced daily unless requested which was advised at this Premier Inn via a letter in the room. We did need to request extra pillows and an additional bath towel but other than those things were more or less as normal other than remembering to wear a face covering while in public areas in the building.

We had breakfast each morning at the Brewers Fayre next door with no need to book a time unlike a lot of other venues at the present time being served efficiently by friendly, very helpful staff being served mainly by Mandy on all of the mornings of our stay.

We stayed here for the London Marathon - it was in a perfect location for us in supporting our charity runners, the hotel was well priced and the breakfast was good. We ended up eating our evening meal elsewhere so can't comment on that but if you want a clean hotel with a good 'all you can eat breakfast' this is a good choice. It's really close to the DLR so easy to travel although about 45 mins or so from central London, however this wasn't an issue for us. The staff were really helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble

Oh dear. I don't stay at Premier Inn very often as I prefer Village hotels which are equivalent prices when on sale and suffer less from the headline room offer prices that Premier Inn claim but then seem to be much dearer when you try to book.

Now I know why I was right to avoid Premier Inn.

Centrally controlled heating / air con that was set at either 21 or 28 degrees, rusty towel rail, tired rooms, stained sheets, the most bizarre parking system and high charges and a stupid pre-check-in system that did nothing but waste my time

I thought Premier Inn was better than this

The good part was the DLR which made it easy to get away.

Booked a short stay, three nights to be exact. Checking in was simple and fast, the staff were friendly & helpful. Assumed in the day that we would get a change set of towels, but wasn’t too upset over it. Second day made the cleaner aware that we needed a new set of towels in our room, and made her aware of the room number. I was reassured she would attend to it as soon as she could, Came back to none of the towels changed. The shower head was damaged, even when the water pressure was high. There was a hole in the wall next to the master bed, over all disappointed. I’ve stayed in many Premier Inn hotels and safe to say I will not be returning to this one.

We arrived at 5pm and had booked two rooms a few days earlier. Although the rooms were empty, there were insufficient staff available to clean them, so we had to wait until after 6pm to access the first room and until 9pm to access the other. We were lucky and were prioritised as we had small children. Others waited hours longer to get a room. Similarly, the restaurant was sometimes understaffed at breakfast, so some of the basics were missing- although the staff tried their best to keep on top of things. we were away from the hotel from breakfast until dusk but it was obvious no staff entered the rooms for four days, so bins were overflowing, loo roll ran out and towels needed changing. These were sorted once I asked at reception but I'm not used to specifying precisely what needs to be done in such detail. Clearly, all the too-few staff were so overwhelmed with the amount that needed doing in the hotel that they could only cope with minimum servicing. I don't blame the staff in the hotel. They were all great in difficult circumstances. There just needed to be more of them.

Hi David, Thank you for your review. We’re very sorry that you had a disappointing stay with us recently due to the delays during check in and the issues during the breakfast service. This certainly isn't the experience we would expect for you. We can confirm the team won't service or enter your room during your stay unless requested by the Reception Team following our new policy. We’ve ensured this feedback has been logged to the Hotel Management team so that they can look into these issues with the team to prevent this experience from being repeated again in the future. Thank you for taking the time to contact us and we hope we can welcome you for a more enjoyable stay in the future. Kind regards, Tayler

We have stayed at this hotel on many occasions. Sadly on this occasion, it did not live up to previous visits. You now have to pay to use the carpark which you previously didn’t and that was a huge selling point of the hotel. The pillows in our room were beyond awful - not the usual Premier Inn standard at all, very small and thin and very uncomfortable. We were a party of 2 adults and were provided with only one hand towel between us - no bath/shower towel. Unfortunately, we only realised this after one of us had got in the shower. Our room was directly opposite a main door for entering/exiting so the constant banging of the door didn’t help at all! If I wasn’t so tired and it wasn’t so late, I would have raised all the above with reception but I just couldn’t be bothered at that time of night and just wanted some sleep. I would give this hotel another go seeing as this is the first time in countless of stays that we have had any issues

I had to stay a night because I was locked out of my flat. This Premier Inn is five minutes from home.

The Booking and Check In experience were quick and simple. (Use the online booking service for a cheaper rate.) The staff were friendly and helpful, and finding a replacement TV remote for the one missing from my room was a 3 minute job.

I was too late to eat at the attached Brewer's Fayre. It seems food service stops quite early, so don't leave it too late.

I opted for the "unlimitted" cooked breakfast, which seemed expensive in retrospect. I waited half an hour to be served in a quiet restaurant, and despite very clearly ordering BLACK coffee was presented with a Latte ten minutes later. This was replaced quickly, but, had I not drunk it, it would have gone cold by the time my breakfast arrived. I'm not sure how the "unlimited" part works as, after ordering the cooked part of the meal I never saw the waiter again. And after an hour and a half, only ten minutes of which were spent eating, I was fed up of waiting.

So in conclusion, Thumbs up for the room, hotel staff and facilities, but avoid the restaurant.

We had the worst experience ever. No toilet rolls room was filfy and dirty. We were not told we had to request a cleaner to come into our room for cleaning so when our rooms were not cleaned once we came back into our rooms after a long and tiring day out we contacted reception who then said we had to request this facility. For 2 days we had to go down to reception to request this even then only the beds got made and bins emptied no cups n glasses washed they never vaccume it was a joke!!!. We had no clean towels. We were told we had to request this on the second day even then we were told we will see if we have any available. No irons available we were told we only have 5 irons between 150 guest. Doors banging throughout the night!! Absolute nightmare. Cups and glasses still in the bathroom on day 3 of checkout. No new cups and glasses given no tea bags or sugar given everything empty on day 3 of checkout.
