This is the dorm of Imperial College, and is only open to public during summer school break. The location is very convenient, next to museums and Royal Albert Hall, and within walking distance from Knightsbridge.

It is much cheaper than other hotels in South Kensington, and as such don't expect too much. It is basic dormitory room. I stayed at a single room with ensuite bathroom, and it is clean and safe. I booked it because I had to be at Imperial College. If the purpose of your trip is to attend events at Imperial College or you have a tight budget, this is not a bad choice.

If you want great price accommodation in central London, near top museums like the Natural History, then this is perfect. Small student rooms with their own small en-suite. Clean, warm and tidy. There is a bar outside which closes at 10. Several restaurants nearby at S Kensington tube station, so also convenient for travelling further afield.

The staff is the most unfriendly staff, I've ever experienced in a "place to stay".
The room is dirty and there is mold in the shower. Also when I booked this place my credit card got hacked. Absolute Nightmare.

Very basic accommodations, and somewhat run down. Elevator broken, stains on the carpet and chair, kitchen and refrigerators locked away from access and both Friday and Saturday nights very loud music and party sounds until at least midnight. Yes, it was less than most hotels but not that much less. I won’t come back here.

I stayed for 3 days. No cleaning service ever appeared!! I complained but in vain. No refrigerator. No air conditioning system. No T.V. WiFi essentially out of order. The staff in the reception consists of students, i.e. non-professionals. 315 pounds for a big ZERO! Beware! This is not a hotel!

Where can you get a quiet, clean (though tatty) room for £22 including breakfast!!! in central London, sleep less than 100 metres from world famous museums and galleries, walk to Harrods in 3 minutes and get beer at student union rates?

Basically these are old student accomodation blocks and as such are exactly as one might imagine - basic, well worn rooms with a bed, sink and a desk and shared use of a shower.

If you can stand the wear and tear of the rooms (they really are as bad as you could imagine/remember), staircases that look like they are from a WW2 Bunker, breakfast in the staff canteen but you can accept happily that this is where you might be sending your kids to actually live for most of the year - then this has to be the best deal in London.

You can stay for two weeks here for the same cost as one night in a hotel down the steet!!!

If you are young or need to save money during the summer months this is a great, friendly and safe spot to stay.

It would be excellent for families with teenagers or those business people wanting to manage on a budget (like me when freelancing) . After all you really only need a safe, quiet place to sleep and you can spend what you save on entertainment/eating out instead.

We stayed in Beit Hall, right next door to the Albert Hall, in July last year for a long weekend. It was my partner's birthday and we had booked a whole load of theatre tickets which rather skint us. So finding we could stay in student halls for a fraction of the cost of a hotel suited us fine! For three nights Fri-Sun for two in a twin room with en-suite shower was £120. That included a buffet breakfast in the staff refectory, eat-all-you-want style. It's a great location, the staff were very helpful and friendly, and the price is unbeatable. Beit Hall had obviously been recently modernised so the rooms and facilities were not like the other reviews. I suppose once the students have worn them in, they might not be so salubrious!

A great place to stay if you're on a budget but want to be in town! Only problem is making sure you're in London while school is out to be able to take advantage of great deal like this. Even included breakfast buffet -- across street on main campus.

I stayed for 3 nights for a total of US$95. South Kensington tube stop was 5 minute walk away along with Science Museum, Natural History Museum, and V&A. Kensington High Street was 15 minute walk and Kensington Gardens/Hyde Park were 10 minute walk. Only problem was lack of eating options in immediate area which required planning ahead to eat dinner before getting back to Beit Hall for bedtime.

I stayed at Imperial College accommodation while I was in London recently. The security office was just downstairs which made me feel good, especially as I was travelling on my own. The room was immaculate and the staff kind. I enjoyed by few days.

Yes there is limited parking you have to email the college directly on car.park@ic.ac.uk the standard charge is £30 per night which is a massive saving on public parking in the area. The entrance is just about opposite the V&A museum.
