Self checkin as we arrived late - it was actually very convenient, so no idea how the staff is. Little space, but good enough for business trip. Constant noise on ground pebble from underground! Was having hard time sleeping all night. If you are a big guy, shower can be tight too.

Staff are great, very friendly & helpful. Rooms are a good size, clean and warm. It's an old building and if you're very fussy about decor I'd suggest looking elsewhere! But we were delighted, great value by London standards

Stopped over for one night for work reasons. My office didn’t realise that the parking had to be pre booked but thankfully they squeezed me on the car park for £5. Very sweet of them too! The room was huge! I loved it. It’s so nice to have a sofa to relax on after work rather than sitting on a bed. Lots of amenities in the room and a fridge too! There’s an urban Greek place just 100 metres away that’s well worth trying. Good links to transport. I’ll be back for sure

The check in was very easy and the receptionist was lovely and friendly. We had booked parking for 2 nights (at £5 a night) and although we were only staying 1 night, they were absolutely fine with us parking the next day as well! Really handy given it is within 2 minutes walk of the tube station and on the northern line. Parking was a bit tricky as they only have a very small driveway for 2 cars at a push, however my partner who has driven for 20+ years found it doable without too much stress. The hotel itself is opposite a burger King and a few doors away from a pub. There's also plenty of shops in the area such as a sainsburys express. There were a few kebab shops that appeared to stay open late to cater for the pubs in the area. The room itself (standard double room) was far better than we expected. It had a nice, clean, en-suite bathroom with shower (good pressure and temp) and they had supplied soap, shower gel and towels. I found the bed very hard and really struggled to sleep, my partner who has a bad back, found it a lot better and had no issues with it. The blankets were a little thin but the room was nice and warm so not really necessary to have much more. They had heavy, lined curtains which kept all light out and the windows protected much of the road noise and the activity from the pub a few doors down. The room also had a desk, chair and TV (smart TV with Netflix etc) and a mini fridge, ironing board, iron and hairdryer. Far more was provided in this room than I have experienced anywhere. We found it very clean, the communal areas such as hallways and reception were well presented and modern. We will definitely stay again!!

A one night stay at the Gateway. We arrived at around 4.30pm. Parking has to be pre booked and is £5. We were met by the receptionist, i didn't get his name but he was wonderful and couldn't do enough to help. The room was fine, very clean and well presented. Free WiFi. Clapham south tube is a short work away. We took the northern for a day in Camden, about 30 mins. I would definitely stay again!
