Just got back from a long weekend at the Avon Hotel in Paddington London not to be confused with a proper hotel of the same name, room 22 to be precise on the second floor {no lift} available.A double bed wedged against the wall a sash window that let the cold in a wardrobe you could not get to.Not a great...

Below average accommodation in Paddington. Good location, but the room was very basic and in need of some urgent redecorating/renovation. My room was on the top floor, which meant climbing several flights of badly carpeted steep stairs. Overall, not the best hotel, but ok for the location.

The room we stayed in was tiny, and so was the bathroom. Internet connection in room not great. Ironingboard had a dirty cover On it, and kept falling off - iron didnt work (we mentioned this On check-out), so hopefully fixed by now. On a positive note, 5 mins walk from Paddington St., good freshly made breakfast and Nice power...

Rooms with tiny bathrooms (3 m2); A train that shakes all the hotel every 5 minutes; Poor and tasteless breakfast and the worst service (an indian guy that take away your dishes before you finish and the bold chef that hates everyone); An awful Wifi that always crash; tiny pillows for sleep. Believe me, you dont want to pass through...

Staff is very friendly and helpful, And everything was really clean . Loved the receptionist Stephanie, who advised me greatly on what bus tours I should take and see London in a very practical and economical way. Location is good too because it's in Paddington, doesn't get more central than that. Will definitely come back!

On the plus side, the Avon is reasonable value (for London, one of the world's most over-priced cities), the staff are, I found, friendly, efficient and cheerful and the free breakfast is an unusual plus - though I would not have paid for it. The downside? The hotel is a bit tired and frayed at the edges, not especially clean...

When we arrived there was no one on reception when I eventually found them they were very polite and helpful. Our room was on ground floor so every time somebody flush a loo or had a shower you could hear the water. Trains were very close bye. It was a very warm evening no aircon room was stifling, because of...

It's ok for the money and includes breakfast-breakfast staff was so nice by the way. Other than that the hotel amenities are very very skimpy & one important figure was sometimes a bit rude. I left and went to another hotel as I wanted a positive trip and knew I couldn't stay there another 2 days

I struggle that some of these reviews are of the same place I stayed at . Hosts are great and the room was perfect. The stairs small for my big feet and that's not a complaint. Great spot very handy to everything. Lots if restaurants nearby and Tube station end of street. Great coffee shop around the corner.
