Nestled on a side street across from a small park, this quaint bed and breakfast was a great place to lay my head for a few days while I visited London and played tourist. The room had all the amenities I needed including a nice private bath. Lekha was a great host and even though we didn't spend much time there (unfortunately didn't get to enjoy the breakfast due to other obligations), it was a nice base for us to relax after a long day of sight-seeing. The room was very clean and it was nice to be "out of the way" and in a quiet neighborhood. Convenient to a couple of tube stations and several good cafes (including Starbucks for us Americans) right around the corner. Definitely recommend if you want to have a nice oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
My wife and I stayed at The Primrose Guesthouse last night. Hsving received a warm welcome from our hostess, Lekha, we were shown to our room which overlooked some beautiful trees and was a good size. Our bathroom was clean and had a brilliant shower with a strong flow rate that left us both feeling invigorated after using it. Breakfast was served in a light and airy room on the second floor. There were cereals alongside yoghurts and fruit juices. A cooked breakfast was also served.and was delicious - cooked to order and served piping hot. The guesthouse is only around a 10 minite walk to The Roundhouse so is really convenient if you are going to a gig there. If we head to The Roundhouse in the future we will certainly stay here again!
Easy to find. Great location in Camden. Close to amenities, pubs transport and restaurant and shops. Lekha the host was great really accommodating. Got the impression that she would go out of her way for her guests. I made a last minute request for a bottle of champers & Lekha kindly had a bottle waiting in the room. That hospitality really makes a difference when choosing a place to stay. Room was as described. Nice shower. Good bed very clean.
The house is small and so are some of the bathrooms. But everything is working well and the person running the place is very kind and making the stay as pleasant as possible. A good example is that she provided us with a list of phone numbers to get a cab without us asking for it. Of cause, it is not a hotel with a huge breakfast selection but if you are happy with some eggs, some bread a limited choice of cheese and some marmalade you are fine. The house is in a quiet and save residential neighborhood which one can well reach with the subway or buses. Bars, restaurants as well as coffee shops are close by. You should however avoid it if you have problems with stairs. Another minor issue is that the rooms are clairaudient so if another guest is snoring, it is easily heard in the next room.…
We stayed in the guesthouse for 1 night whilst seeing a concert at the roundhouse. The double room with en-suite was very clean and tidy with lots of extra facilities. The hosts were extremely welcoming and couldn’t do more to assist us, which made the whole place seem very homely! The roundhouse was a short walk away in a safe quiet area which we felt comfortable in. Would definitely return and recommend this as a place to stay, very quite and peaceful!
My husband and I stayed at Primrose from Dec. 22 to Jan. 4, 2021-22 and I have to say, aside from getting to see our son and granddaughter, Primrose was a highlight of our trip to London and meeting Lehka was a real treat! Our room was exactly as pictured online and even more quaint in person. We had everything we needed, from shampoo and conditioner to soap, hairdryer and fresh towels every day. Tea and coffee were supplied in our room with a hot kettle and bottles of fresh water and snacks. The coffee maker in the kitchen is amazing (I want one in my house!) and you can make any kind of fancy coffee you could want. Breakfast included cereals, juice, toast, yogurts or Lehka will make eggs, sausage, bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes and beans. The street of the B&B is lined with quaint homes with easy access to the Tube, restaurants, pharmacies, grocery stores, coffee/pastry shops and best of all, pubs!! We loved everything about Primrose and look forward to returning and exploring more of London. Thank you so much, Lehka for making our stay in Primrose absolutely wonderful. You are the best hostess!…
Primrose guesthouse is a little gem, superbly located for the tube, tidy, comfortable & Lekha is an impeccable host, so welcoming & makes a great English breakfast! I stayed for one night to meet with friends & go to a gig at the Forum Kentish Town (walking distance). Primrose was really easy to find & after dropping bags & receiving a warm welcome & keys from Lekha I hopped on the tube to Camden for dinner & drinks (only a couple of stops away). It is perfectly situated for exploring the area, I will definitely use again if I am up that way!
Pleasantly surprised by this little gem! Lekha (the owner) is super helpful and very friendly! Rooms a spotlessly clean and nicely renovated. fast internet and comfy bed. *Tip: if you are older or have trouble with stairs request a room on the first floor. Will definitely stay there again!
Lovely guest house in a pleasant location, so handy for the tubes at Belsize Park and Swiss Cottage. The guest house is nice and tidy and very well kept. Run by Lekha who made us feel very welcome and cooked us a lovely hearty breakfast in the morning. We had such a wonderful stay and can't wait to return. Massive thank you Lekha.
My family and I stayed here for 5 weeks during the renovation of my home . I was sad to leave “ primrose guest house “ situated in primrose gardens which is in Belsize Park and a stones throw from primrose hill , hampstead Heath and Camden Town. Lekha the owner provides a much more personal touch than staying in a hotel or hotel chain Rooms come with continental breakfast included and full cooked English breakfast is available for a very reasonable extra . I’m happy to recommend primrose guest and I personally give it a 5 star rating
