Having stayed in plenty of hotels for work and some been very low standard, this as a 3 star hotel is exceptional good and fir a central london very good value. The room was very large with a shower and handwashing basin, there was a shared toilet on the same floor, tea and coffee free wifi very large bed everything that is needed for the one night stay, bad points are very worn carpet and funny arrangement with the coffee making facilities, the kettle was in a small cupboard which of course filled with steam when boiling the kettle. However I will be back here next time I need a hotel in this area very pleased

Stayed here for 1 night when visiting London for a theatre trip. Booked due to its excellent location, being a short walk to Tottenham Court Road/Oxford Street. Check in was stated 3pm but arrived at 1 and checked in with no problem. Upon arrival we were pleasantly surprised as the man on reception upgraded our room from a standard double without a toilet in the room to an en-suite! (We had room 004 which was downstairs). Room was small but adequate for our needs. Bed comfy and everything was clean. Only slight annoyance was the windows rattled sometimes presumably by the wind and this woke my boyfriend up in the night a few times but I’m a heavy sleeper so didn’t bother me. Don’t understand any bad reviews on this place at all! At the end of the day, you get what you pay for and for central London, I think this room was good for the price! I would definitely stay here again as the location is excellent and we enjoyed our stay:)

Seems odd to have a shower in the room but have to share a toilet, but no matter. The shared toilet is spotless, the room is spacious, the location is great. Fast wifi, friendly reception staff, I'm sure I will stay here again.

I stayed here for a single night as somewhere to crash after a Christmas party. Good things: -Location is great - access to tube station, within walking distance to central London but not in a noisy area. -Room was a really decent size, especially for London - I was pleasantly surprised. -Bed was really big -Free wifi -Kettle in the room for making tea and coffee -Got quite a good price via a 'top secret' hotel deal Bad things: -Bed was a little uncomfortable -shortage of plug sockets to charge phone/laptop -breakfast expensive (plenty of cheaper options nearby though) Things to note: -As others have pointed out, there was a shower and sink in the room but the toilet was shared with other rooms on the floor. This didn't bother me at all, but is something to be aware of. - There is no lift, so carrying heavy bags to the upper floors may be bothersome (not an issue if, like me, you only had a small overnight bag) -This isn't a modern or luxury hotel. It's in an old building and the decor/furniture is quaint and a little old fashioned. Whether this bothers you or not depends on personal preference - I personally quite like a bit of charm, but if you're after the Hilton this place isn't for you.
