We're Duncan from Yorkshire and Barbro from Sweden. We've worked and lived in London for over 50 years. We'll give you a warm welcome in our Victorian terraced house in the quiet calm of the Queen's Park conservation area. You'll have a generous, recently decorated bedroom with generous double or twin beds and plenty of storage. We've traveled the world so we know what a traveler needs these days:  • a large double bed OR twin beds • your own private en suite shower-room with WC
, heated towel rail and underfloor heating. • Ample hanging space, hangers, plenty of drawers
  • free high speed wi-fi broadband (18MB) • table and chairs
  • office facilities - to print stuff out
  • a washing machine and drying room • an iron and ironing board • a modern flat screen HD TV/DVD player • a bedside radio/alarm clock • a hairdryer - (not just for the ladies)
  • a kettle to brew one of our teas, infusions or coffee • bottled water - still and sparkling • fresh fruit and flowers • something crunchy for those munchy moments
..And a few other useful things nearby...  • A relaxing lounge, with sofas, HD 3D cable TV • an honour bar for the odd nightcap
  • a lovely garden and patio with table and chairs and smoking facilities We're known for our excellent cooking and we'll prepare you breakfasts to remember from "Full English" to a Swedish smorgasbord and own own famous 'specials' We'll help you plan where to go, when and where to shop, dine out or get tickets in London - Barbro's a regular guide around town.

Duncan and Barbro were so welcoming and friendly. The room was ideal for us, overlooking the garden so very quiet. We enjoyed Duncans delicious breakfasts. Highly recommended! Queens park is an ideal location when staying in London. Easy access to the tube and overground, great

The room was warm and friendly. The bath, up to date in "Kansas City". Keslake Towers is located in the Queens Park part of London. Upscale. For me, just a tad too far to the buses, but in fairness, the buses or the Queen's Park train or underground are within 10 to 15

Duncan and Barbro treated us like long-lost friends and couldn't have been more helpful. The breakfasts were delicious and made from scratch - the menu is on their website. We enjoyed eating in the kitchen and chatting with them every day - there's a lovely back garden off the

Very friendly hosts. Clean room, but a bit too small for two adults. The beds are comfortable but raher narrow. The bathroom is also a bit too small, the toilet is too close to the hiting, the hangers for the towels are not adequate as they are also postioned too close to the

We are deeply concerned that you were so disappointed with your accommodation Lilian – and surprised. You made nothing but very positive comments when you were with us. We wish you had spoken at the time. We have had many couples stay with us in the Narnia Room and although it isn’t the largest ever room no-one has ever complained about it being small. This is, after all, a Victorian terraced house in a very well regarded Conservation Area and the rooms are standard for the period. It has always had 5 star ratings, as all our other reviews will testify. The heated towel rail, where everyone else hangs their towels, is pretty standard hotel and guest-house equipment and designed both to hang and dry towels. The beds, I have to allow, are less than generous in width when used as separate twin beds – we are actually in the process of replacing them with wider ones.

What a Great BB, and I have tried a few. Location is good, easy walking distance to the tube or bus. Breakfast done from fresh ingredients and from scratch. Duncan’s menu for different warm breakfast, it’s a must to have. Scrambled Egg ala Duncan, YES please. Barbro &

Thank for your enquiry. We'd love to give you a real 'home from home' welcome here. However we are very sorry but we are busy on these dates. It's always a busy time here in London and especially as the GBP pound has been so VERY cheap! Most of our guests come from overseas, the USA, Switzerland, Australia, Germany and the Far East and so tend to book some months ahead. Of course we have plenty of datse available - just not these unfortaunately - you can find out much more about us on our very own website. Anyway - another time? Meanwhile, whether or not you stay with us you can find out more about travel and transport in London and lots of links to tourist attractions in and around the city on our website. Why not bookmark it?

Yes we have a vacancy for those dates. Please get in touch with us directly and we'll be delighted to give you a 'home from home welcome' The tariff at that time is £75 GBP per person per night. This is in a quiet, roomy and airy room with King sized bed with, table chairs, high speed wi-fi and its own private en suite shower, W/C and underfloor heating. And, of course, it comes with all the amenities in the room and around the house and garden as listed on our website plus a full breakfast of your choice at a time of your choosing and is inclusive of all taxes etc. [You'll see our menu on the website] We look forward to hearing from you Kind regards Duncan & Barbro McAusland
