I would like to write about my stay here but unfortunately (or fortunately) I can't, as we didn't even get chance to stay there (thank god by the sounds of the place). I wish I could express how furious I am, but I feel I can't without swearing. Me and my partner booked to stay here as it came up...

I booked an apartment with these people because they were pet friendly and I was taking my dog along with me. I booked well in advance and put on the special requests part of the form that I would be bringing a "small dog (French Bulldog)" clear enough I thought. 2 hours before check in I was called while on...

Arriving at this address, I found a notice saying that letting rooms in this "hotel" is against the terms of the lease that the owners have with the freeholders. Anyone paying to stay here runs the risk of finding the doors locked and bolted and needing to find somewhere else to stay at short notice!

Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
