We didn't actually stay here, but treated a couple of family members to Christmas afternoon tea. We were not disappointed, and would highly recommend it. Lovely sandwiches and beautiful cakes! We couldn't fault it. We were all delighted by it. Friendly staff too! We had a quick look around and loved the cells in the bar :)

I stayed one night in December. The location is stunning, at the end of Carnaby Street so access to shopping and great food and drink. Hotel was nice, decent rooms (although a little basic), comfortable bed and sky sports tv. Two improvement areas:- 1, the wifi was slow and intermittent. 2, the breakfast and breakfast service was not very good....

Dear Dave H, Thank you for your feedback and honesty. If you can let me know which room you stayed in we can test the WIFI signal in that area as we normally do not get negative feedback on this. In terms of breakfast service we would also appreciate your comments so we can discuss this with the team. All...

Lovely stay at the Courthouse Hotel. I would agree with other reviewers that I'm not sure that it's a 5* hotel. Other than that we had a friendly and professional greeting, we were able to store our bags as we arrived early and left late. Room was a good size, perfectly functional, comfy duvets, clean bathrooms. Great location for Christmas...

Dear Veronica P, Thank you for taking the time out to review your stay. It sounds like you had a great stay and enjoyed our location for shopping and a visit to the theatre. Palladium is just around the corner and many other theatres in close walking distance. Look forward welcoming you back soon.

A five star hotel? That is a ridiculous rating. The hotel was way to expensive (!) for one night for it to have shabby and tired interior, even with some of my colleagues rooms smelling like old smoke.. The staff had no enthusiasm, or smiles to offer. The breakfast is given in a room that feels like an old spa...

Dear Avansch, Thank you for your comments and sorry to hear that we did not meet your expectation. The room you described is actually the waiting room and is Grade 2 listed, this was the room where people would wait before entering the courtroom. Hope you are willing to give us another chance

We stayed one night here on our outward trip to Canada and one night on return. The hotel is in an excellent position, being very close to Oxford Circus. Unfortunately since the hotel changed owner (was previously Hilton Doubletree) the breakfast has been very poor for me. I have a wheat intolerance so do not eat pastries, croissants, etc. The...

Dear Jandem2, Thank you for your comments and hope you had a good trip to Canada. The owner has been the same since the hotel opened however the franchise contract changed as the owner decided to run the hotel himself. Sorry to hear that breakfast did not meet your expectations, we keep working on making additional improvements and have received...

The staff were friendly and welcoming and the rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean. It is in a great location and only a couple of mins walk from a tube station. We enjoyed a few cocktails in the bar - the holding cells are certainly different to sitting in any usual bar! The only negative I would have is that...

Average hotel. The one big plus is its position just behind Liberty's and adjacent to Regent Street. Décor was modern and staff on reception desk very helpful and polite. Even though we arrived at 10 a.m. just to leave our bags, and check in wasn't for several hours there was no problem, and the reception staff even apologised that our...

This was a gift for my 70th birthday from my family and after a long walk around London my wife and I arrived an hour early for our booking and the receptionist was more than helpful and let us use the hotel facilities and sit in the lounge with a long drink. The hotel was in a fantastic location. We received a warm welcome by friendly staff. The room was bright and clean but the mattresses were damaged, soiled and very uncomfortable which led to a very restless night. This spoilt our stay as we were beyond tired the next day. The breakfast however was delicious. Our concerns were emailed to the...

Fantastic location just opposite Liberty. Nice rooms - go high for quietness. 5* but would say more like a 4* hotel. Was once a courthouse and there are still plenty of original features - which makes it a little bit different.

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
