Our third stay at 79 Greencroft only confirms its excellences described in my earlier review. It has a location convenient to bus routes and tube stations and is in neighborhood of handsome townhouses. Accommodations are excellent, and interiors decorated with paintings, family photographs, and the host's collection of glove stretchers. The host is a charming, accomplished Englishwoman, who is very...

I booked Penny's B&B for a single night for a friend who normally stays with us when in London. As we were in the middle of extensive renovations at our house I was desperate to find a comfortable place near home for my friend. I could not have been any luckier ! My friend had a fantastic time there and...

We have been staying here since 1997 (can that even be possible?), sometimes as a couple, sometimes on business, sometimes with a friend. It is always like coming home when we arrive. This time we needed to decompress from an over-loaded trip in the UK. So close to tube station, Green Park is a 15-minute ride. I cannot recommend highly...

Seventy-nine Greencroft Gardens in Camden Borough, near its boundary with Westminster, is an exceptional London B & B because of its setting, gracious host, and easy access to public transportation. My wife and I stayed there for two extended periods in October 2015 during a visit to our son and his family, who live nearby. The lodgings are on the...

Stayed for 2 nights in this lovely house; crammed with original and interesting art and artefacts. Had an enormous room and private bathroom, with a really good shower. There was lots of storage space in our room, so had we been staying longer we'd have been able to stash lots of clothes etc away. Comfortable bed, books everywhere, good breakfast,...

Hampstead is without doubt one of the more interesting areas in London and I stayed here at the excellent B & B of Penelope Lyndon-Stanford for a week in July 2014. The house is fantastic with traditional details from the building year (1903), and Penelope is the most amiable person you can imagine, and always very accommodating. What she don't...

We were in London for a short time and stayed with the delightful Penelope in her B&B. A nicer host you could not hope to find. Our room was huge and we had our own bathroom. Penelope has such an interesting home that we were always discovering something new we hadn't seen before. Location wise, we were walking distance from...

We picked this B&B from the Wolsey site and are very pleased that we did. Even with the Olympic Games a couple of days away, the prices were unchanged and very good value for London. We drove down from Lincolnshire to find easy access and off road parking in this quiet suburb. We were greeted warmly by Penelope and shown...

We were in London for a wedding, and the mother of the bride suggested that we try this B and B, given its location--mid point between the wedding (somewhat out of the city) and central London (for sightseeing). The location is, indeed, excellent--a short walk to the Jubilee or Metropolitan lines of the tube; close to restaurants and shopping; the...
