My family of four spent Thanksgiving week at Taj 51 Buckingham Gate. The hotel was absolute perfection and exceeded my highest expectations. My boys literally gasped when we opened the door to our 2-bedroom 5th floor apartment. It was spacious, beautiful, comfortable and felt like home immediately. The location was outstanding. While we occasionally used the Underground and Taxis, we... More

We are a large family - stayed in a 3 bedroom on the 4th floor. Everything was just perfect. We had plenty of space, furnishing were spotless and modern - everything was luxurious. Service was impeccable from concierges to waitstaff (Alex, Concio, Cassie). Took our nut allergy seriously and prepared nut free cookies for the kids the first night. Though... More

This is an excellent hotel that we can recommend to everyone. The staff is there for you and you always will assist you in the best way.. It is close to everything. We stayed in a minster 2 bedroom apt and was upgraded to the presidential, which was just perfect. It is not cheap but worth every penny.

This was my first stay at the magnificent Taj 51 Buckingham Gate Suites and Residences. We stayed in the Falconers two bedroom suite and I must say the housekeeping staff kept the room in an immaculate condition. The only grouse was the shower cubicle in the non en suite bathroom which was extremely small to be used by an Adult.... More

We had a 1 bedroom suite. No complaints, the service is excellent, the room was amazing, good quality material throughout. And, a free happy hour between 6-7 for quality drinks too .... The breakfast are very good too. It's expensive, but it's worth it.

We just returned home from a week in London where the Taj was our home base and it was spectacular. The hotel is in a nice, quiet part of town - convenient to the subway and a quick walk to Buckingham Palace or Westminster Abbey. It was new, clean and comfortable with a well appointed kitchen, laundry and comfortable high... More

Wow, what a fantastic hotel this is! My standards are extremely high, but I am also value-conscious so finding a brilliant deal for a two-night, mid-week leisure stay with a friend here made me very happy indeed! We had a suite in the 'residences', which was impeccable. We enjoyed generous complementary drinks during a very chic happy hour. Breakfast was... More

Stayed in a 2 Bedroom Minsters Suite on Floor 7. Suite was immaculate, large, and very quiet. The Suites are ideal for families travelling with older children who are not quite old enough for a room of their own, but are too old to share a typical 'family room'. Hotel is in an excellent location just 5 minutes walk from... More

This offered accommodation in an apartment with 3 bedrooms and bathrooms, lounge/diner, kitchen with full hotel service. Great. What we didn't bargain on was the phenomenally great service from all staff and the lovely location and quiet courtyard. Of course it wasn't cheap but it was certainly less expensive that other 5* or even some 3* hotels in central London.... More

Staying in Westminster

Neighbourhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
