The Wesley in Euston is nothing to write home about. I found the staff to be somewhat apathetic and non service oriented. I’m not sure there was ever a smile or greeting from any staff member in my 2 night stay. Regarding the rooms, I think it was the tiniest room I’ve ever stayed in. It’s almost like university student housing was converted to a hotel. The small rooms are with a single bed and it’s just a very compact space. But the price is not that compact! With respect to cleanliness, I would say that the bathrooms are carpets are clean enough. The Wesley does get some points in my book for having some nice smelling soaps and lotions. I would not recommend this place, given that you can pay just slightly more and find a “proper” room in central London, with some service that you would expect at a four star property.

Very close to Euston station. In a small street a few minutes walk from the station. A little rumbling from the tube but not a problem. Had a superior room , no windows but it was only a night, Room looked like the pictures, clean, plenty of towels, tea, coffee. Bed very comfortable. Bathroom and shower were good. Water hot no issues. Check in was easy reception staff excellent as were breakfast staff.

Very friendly staff. The hotel is clean and tidy. Even received an email asking for our address to post a shirt we left behind. 5***** hotel, would recommend to friends and family. The location is also great, right next to Euston station.

The hotel is conveniently located and my single room was pleasantly modern and clear, albeit quite small. However, the point of a hotel is to get sleep and rest and that did not happen. The surrounding noise was just too bad. Firstly I was on the first floor (one up from ground) and the tube rumblings from below until around midnight were very annoying. Then my neighbour decided to snore like a bear for the entire night. Walls were so thin that they sounded like they were in my room! Actually got to the point at 1am where i rang reception to ask for earplugs and they didnt have any which was very surprising. So if you HAVE to stay here, bring the best earplugs money can by. The breakfast had a good choice but was lukewarm at best and I turned up just as breakfast was starting!

Dear 349claref, Thank you for choosing the Wesley Hotel for your recent visit to London, and for taking the time to share your experience with us. We are delighted to read, that you were satisfied with our location and room despite its size. Unfortunately due to the location of our property between two train stations, the rumbling noise is out of our control, however, we are very sorry to hear that your sleep has been disturbed. I wish you had informed us before, as we would have been able to offer a room move even if it was very late, just to ensure that you would have a peaceful night. We do hope that you will return to us in the future, and we will try our utmost best to allocate room for you on a higher floor. Once again we apologise for any inconvenience caused. Kind regards TheWesley Team

Great hotel in perfect location for weekend trip to London. Lovely, clean and cosy room. Modern bathroom with amazing smelling toiletries. Good selection for breakfast; the cooked breakfast was a little cold but tasty nonetheless. We were able to drop our bags off early before check-in and leave them again after check-out until our train home later on. Would definitely stop here again if we do another London trip in the future.

The hotel is located on a dead-end street which requires you to walk around piles of garbage strewn about the street corner. It is less than a 10 minute walk from 3 tube stations and multiple bus stops. The lobby is cramped and requires steps or an open lift suitable for one or two people and their bags. Clearly, cleanliness and decor are not their strong suit. My room had two night stands with badly peeling contact paper wood grain and two wobbly lamps, each with crumpled and bent lampshades. The shower was very moldy with accumulations of uncleaned dirt in the shower door and mold and dirt on the wall. Because of ongoing renovations in the restaurant, the buffet was served in the bar. Cold scrambled eggs (not even lukewarm) and breakfast meats. One morning we had instant coffee packets and hot water. Another morning the coffee was brewed but very weak. And the occasional sound of drilling or construction work added to the ambiance. I absolutely would not recommend staying there.

Dear SYM, Firstly, we would like to thank you for choosing our property for your visit to London. We are extremely sorry to read about all the aspects of which you were not satisfied with. It would have been great if you would have approached us at the Reception during your stay, as we would have been more than happy to offer a room move to ensure a pleasant stay for you. We are working with our contractors to ensure that the exciting project of refurbishing our Bar and Kitchen will not impact our guest’s stays, and we regret that on this occasion you were inconvenienced. Unfortunately, such jobs in any establishments would be disturbing, as it is hard to get the drilling noise under control. Your concerns about the cleanliness and standard of our breakfast option will be shared with the right departments to prevent it from happening again. Hopefully, you will change your mind and will return in the future, so that we may restore your faith in us. Please accept our most sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused during your stay. Kind regards TheWesley Team

Room very small for the cost. Really poor sleep due to noise all night - not sure what caused the noise - sounded like air con system or lifts. Breakfast was awful - stone cold. Complained to staff who took our plates and microwaved it after it had been sitting for who knows how long! We did feedback this to reception at check out - though they weren’t particularly interested. Wouldn’t recommend I’m afraid and wouldn’t rush back.

Well, we get to London and check in at the hotel. The room was small, but cozy at first glance. Once we got settled in though, we realized there’s no working air conditioning. This typically wouldn’t be an issue in London, but there was no ventilation and you couldn’t open the window, so in a 150 square foot room, it got incredibly stuffy and up to about 85-90 degrees Fahrenheit. We tried to tough it out, but slept very little the first night. He next day, we were trying to get ready and couldn’t stop the makeup from just melting off our faces, so we called down and they told us that the room should be equipped with AC.. still no big deal, right? Eh…. They offer to move us, which is a reasonable solution, although we were leaving the next day. This is when the fun begins. We arrive back at the hotel late night after a concert, a the concierge immediately seems to think that we’re not guests of the hotel after asking for some juice (restaurant and bar on-site). He questions us multiple times about actually having a reservation even after telling him that we had the AC issues. Finally he agrees to let us change rooms, then as we go down to the elevator that the daytime concierge recommended, he questions why were taking the elevator up to our sauna (the room. We were dressed very nicely, and I were two women in our 40’s, so it was super weird. Exhausted from the room move, and knowing that we need to repack in the morning, we requested a 2pm late checkout so that we could get some rest the second night (for the inconvenience and we’re denied. We asked to be comp’d for the first night, since they did say that the room should be equipped with AC, and we were denied. We felt unwelcome by the night concierge and, quite frankly, appalled by the lack of hospitality for a hotel. The second of two stars is due to the fabulous bar tender downstairs who was so kind and caring.. I don’t recommend staying here though!

Room extremely small; to have an ironing board in the wardrobe is a joke as you couldn’t set it up next to a socket never mind squeeze in and iron a shirt. Otherwise clean, good location and the bed was comfy, ok for a night but wouldn’t be top of my list for next time for anything longer.
