At short notice I had to book a stay at this hotel. We found the staff very welcoming and the room excellent. 10 days later another nights stay was required with the same standard’s. I would recommend and again if required would not hesitate to book .

Hotel's Favourite
We stayed in between lockdown and the tier 4 change. We normally stop at the Premier Inn opposite St Pancras, the Kings Cross hotel proved to be cheaper and marginally more convenient with regards location, they're 10 minutes walk from each other. Location is perfect, a few mins walk to Kings Cross train and tube. Our experience with the staff has always been very positive and this hotel is no different. We rang in advance to discuss the reasons for travel and they were very helpful. Check-in was seamless and the people were very friendly. At the time a Premier Plus room was only marginally more expensive so that's what we booked. Overall it had some nice touches but for us a standard room would have sufficed. Whilst the TV worked the smart functions such as a guide and many of the channels didn't work. For us the hotel was a base so this wasn't essential, I'm sure the staff would have resolved it if it we'd raised it. There's a little more on offer with this Premier Inn in that there's a restaurant and a Costa off of a central atrium. It's a good looking modern hotel. As someone who regularly used to book and stay in London hotels I believe the value is unsurpassed. I certainly couldn't find anything cheaper that offers the same amenities and is so close to travel hubs.

So, the website states that the hotel is open for all guests and encourages potential guests to contact the hotel to enquire about the restaurant. I was a little surprised by this and made the mistake of actually doing as the website suggested. I made an enquiry about a potential stay. I spoke to a receptionist who was bad tempered, aggressive and completely unhelpful. Not only was I put off this hotel for the stay I was asking about, but I won't be considering this branch of the Premier Inn in the future. There's no excuse for being so rude and unpleasant at any time and I was simply making an enquiry.

Stayed here for one night, usually stay in the Russell Sq area but booked at short notice so couldn’t get in! Glad we did as we had a very good night here, will definitely stay again. Minutes walk from King’s cross station, quick check in, staff pleasant and helpful, happy to store luggage until we came back as we were too early for room. Tea and coffee facilities provided. Room and bathroom were clean and fine for the one night. Only one pillow provided, spares removed due to covid but no details avaliable on how or where to obtain extra. Room was very cold but did warm up when we changed the air conditioner settings. Very nice communal area but out of use due to covid, feel that some of the seating could have remained in use. Tesco just around the corner for some snacks. Breakfast was a little dissapointing, due to curent situation no buffet (understandable) served at the table but very slow, tea brougt but no spoon or sugar, items delivered as oredered but did not feel welcome to request further items, so not really unlimited breakfast. Toast came sooner than breakfast so was cold by the time the rest came, limited non cooked options. Would have prefeered to spend the same amount in Mcdonalds down the street. However due to the current situation it was good to stay somewhere so would return in this circumstance. Overall happy with out stay. The location is the best feature, so easy for the train station.

Two of the great things about Premier Inns are that you know what you are getting, comfy rooms and a good breakfast! This hotel is great location, Kings Cross has had a make over so felt safe and hotel perfect location 100 yards from Kings Cross. Rooms lovely and modern, quiet. It was half term and I suspect the hotel was busier than normal as some staff were abrupt and rude. Breakfast was a waste of money. Due to COVID there is no buffet so all table service but there wasn’t enough staff for this. You had to book a slot but the restaurant was still way too busy so long wait for food and staff were frantic. Food came in dribs and drabs, a plate of cold toast before drinks, day 2 cooked breakfast before any drinks, would have normally had a tea and a coffee but staff just too busy to ask for a second drink, overall a very disappointing breakfast experience and not worth the price, especially with a family of 5 (only one ate free). If Premier Inn can’t offer the breakfasts we all know, then they are going to have to lower the prices as a limited choice is not good value for money.
