This is the question I ask you. To stay here was a damn Victory. The place is Filthy. NOTHING is clean. The kettle i got in my room... look at the photo and you tell me? Damaged filthy and has had better days. I wouldn't advise staying here even as a backpacker. Toilet bowl could have done with a pretty good clean (couldnt sit on that erven if i needed to take a #2!. Shower head hangs down because wall fittings broken. No heating. My bedding was not clean, had marks and stains on them. Pillows were old and lacking any bounce. And the noise from front desk is a joke! Sounded like a bunch of kids playing video games!! they were louder than the traffic outside. Not how I expect anyone to run a business. SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHY THERE IS A FAN IN MY ROOM?? And no i didn't request it in the middle of winter! If this is the standards of a basic hotel nowadays then wow to all those who find this place acceptable. I tried to see the good but its difficult. This place (and management) need a makeover i.e. DEMOLISH AND REBUILD Considering our status in this country. This is not what you expect from a hotel, especially with a pandemic arising. Health and safety regulations ARE BEING BREECHED and that i can bet my life on. Don't put your HEALTH at risk in a place like this. find somewhere that considers your health and safety.

Looking at previous reviews yes this hotel is dated and needs some real tlc but staff are polite and helpful, breakfast though sparse by some standards was perfect couple of eggs, couple of toast beans and coffee... What more do you want for £60 for 2 people in London people. Hotel is about 50 yards from train station and two stops from Ally Pally station where a short 10 minute walk will get you to all the fast food, spoons and Primark. The bedding was clean,

Where do I start? This place should be shut down! I honestly can’t understand how they are still open and conning people into staying there. So I will start at the beginning, we are in London for new year, myself and two others. Our rooms were fairly cheap so I wasn’t expecting the world when I booked, Just clean and the basics. But both of these were extremely lacking! So upon arrival I entered the reception area to ask about the free parking that was advertised. There was only two parking spaces available on the pavement outside the hotel on a rather run down street. There was also a skip outside the hotel. Anyway the reception area was small and uninviting they were having what I assume was renovation work done to reception there was barley any room to move and was dusty everywhere. Very very dusty. We stayed in room 9 and 10 ... the door of one of the rooms was broken and without any security. In room 9 the shower simply did not exist. And in the other was rusted and about to fall off the wall. The carpet in both rooms was extremely dirty and there were also cigarette ashes in the toilets and that's a real filth, disgusting. The walls of the rooms was dirty and looked like it hadn’t been decorated in years and years. plug sockets were hanging off the wall. Curtains were ripped. Bird poo all over the outside one of the windows. Rusty soap holder in bathroom. And just the whole place looked run down as if nobody cared about it at all. The staff we not the most polite people. As for the rest of the hotel the corridors were dated even the pictures on the wall were broken or ripped. Paint coming off the walls. And the corridor stank like an old people’s home and smoke. The radiator in my room didn’t work and the radiator in the other room was stuck on hot permanently. We were offered breakfast each morning but never went once because of the fear of getting food poisoning or something. And based on the other reviews I’m glad we didn’t. I could go on and on. But please if you read this DO NOT STAY HERE! Save your money find somewhere else. If I could put 0 stars I would. The only positive is the location close to train and bus routes. Will never visit again.

On arrival at the hotel we were given street parking. Told to pay cash £120 for nye without a receipt. Receptionist was rude asking if I was trying to go somewhere without paying although I just wanted to pay card or at least get a reciept. The room was basic dirty and a poor finish everywhere shower was hanging off the wall so couldn’t be used . Cabinet and soap holder was rusty and the corridors smelt of smoke.

Just called for available rooms and been asked many times the period of stay. I was told there was a free room. I had to repeat the period of stay 4 times before the operator could understand and when asked to pay more attention to what I was saying I was told that there were no free rooms and hung up. Place to Avoid
