This is not a cheap hotel, and so I was disappointed in quite a few things. We have stayed here three or four times and I definitely noticed a decline in standards this time. The beds was SO uncomfortable and extremely noisy, you could not turn over without it clanking and squeaking, and the mattress was actually sloping to one side so that you gradually slid off the bed! In the bathroom, there was black mould on both the ceiling and the grout in the show was very black with mould. This is not something one should have to put up with in an expensive hotel. The breakfast was below average. Our vegan daughter struggled to get food as the vegan sausages were never replenished when they ran out. The food was colder than it should have been. One highlight was the waffle station but this was really dirty and messy and looked like there was no staff member to keep it clean. On our last day our plates were LITERALLY taken away by a staff member as I was still obviously eating and not finished, and the table cleared as we all sat there, making us feel like we needed to move to allow more people from the breakfast queue to get a table. On checking in, we were asked for photo ID which was never mentioned in the instructions, and as we had come from Edinburgh, we had no photo id with us as none of us were planning on driving. We tried to use a bank card but the staff member said it was not good enough as the name on the card did not fully match the name of the booking (ie no middle name). Now I ask you, what are the chances that we would have the bank card of someone who had made a booking at this hotel, then happened to guess where they would be staying and the dates they were staying? We eventually found something with a name the staff person would accept, but them they went on to overcharge us by about £70 for the two rooms which is now having to be refunded. This is a ridiculous policy given that you can actually check in with your PHONE anyway, as it turns out. Why do you insist on photo id if there are people coming and going all the time using their phones who presumably check in without you ever seeing them? On check out day (check out is listed as 11am) the maid knocked the door and immediately came into our room at 9.30am, when we were nowhere ready to leave. Surely they should have a list of who is checking out that day and allow them the full courtesy of using the room? When we did leave at 10.45am, the maids were standing outside the room door, literally at each side of the door, waiting on us getting our bags together to leave. This is really rude guys, I know they are keen turn the room over for the next guest but we felt we were being hounded out of the room. One of the lifts was also out of order for the duration of our stay which meant we had to use the stairs quite a few times due to the lifts being too busy. Luckily we were only on the third floor but I would not have liked to be on the 7th floor. Lastly, the toilet facilities on the level of the breakfast room were utterly filthy when I attempted to use them. I walked into one stall and had to walk right back out again due to the mess it was in (I won't describe it but it was revolting). Again, not something you expect to see in an expensive hotel. This was probably the fourth time we have used this hotel because of its decent location, but I don't know if we will be staying here again. Very average.

Hotel's Favourite
This is the second time we have stayed here. The staff here are amazing! Everyone is so kind and helpful from getting you a taxi, seemless check in process, buying a quick bottle of pop! The location is great - about 5 minute walk to the Waterloo train station! The rooms are a great size and they along with the rest of the property are so clean. The breakfast buffet is amazing. Plentiful, clean, amazing selection. All the people that work at breakfast are so helpful and happy to engage. We also had dinner here one night and it was wonderful! The pumpkin soup was a nice Autumn Surprise! Our waiter was the best! We will be back for sure! The management of this hotel is just superior - and the happy faces of all the employees here signal that this must be a great place to work! Keep on doing what you are doing!

We stayed here 6 nights for a family of four. It was very comfortable and easy to get in and out of since it’s a cozy hotel. The lobby was comfortable and stylish. The breakfast was excellent and much mote elevated than other Hampton Inns of many other standard hotels. That was a highlight and made each morning start off great. The hotel was slightly away from the central are, but close enough. Getting around to any destination was no problem. The room was on the smaller side and any two small drawers. They did have a safe and a spacious shower.

First class as always with Hilton which is why we book so often with them and never ever get let down with their level of service. We were upgraded to a top floor suite which was amazing at nightime. The bedroom was impeccably clean and nice and quiet at all times. The hotel in general is spotless and well kept but the breakfast time was a bit manic but given it was easter not unexpected. Breakfast quality and choice is amazing which reminds us of why we constantly book Hilton for our breaks around the UK. However !!! and more importantly a big note to Hilton. You have the most amazing member of staff on reception 'Umisha' (spring) who is simply first class at what she does. Always a radiant smile.. extremely polite..friendly..cheerful..and just makes your stay such a pleasant experience. Hilton !!!...If you read this i would insist that you take her to one side and pay her a huge compliment and make sure she is given employee of the month if not employee of the year. You have a wonderful asset and member of staff who left an impression on my wife and i. 'Thank You' is just two small words from you that she fully deserves. Many Thanks Hilton and many many thanks Umisha for what you did.

Great hotel! Large twin room, big bathroom, quiet, clean, and great view of the Eye. Across the street are several bus lines to everything in the core, and its a 5 min walk to Waterloo tube/train station. The buffet breakfast had lots of options, constantly refreshed with new food. Cons would be the low shower water pressure (but very hot water) and the loud room HVAC unit (but it’s a great white noise machine). Would return!

I really enjoyed this hotel. I had originally booked the Marriott London County Hall but didn't want to spend that much so I researched an alternative that was in a good location with easy access to public transportation and walking to sites. The Hampton Inn Waterloo fit the bill. The area outside of the hotel isn't beautiful but the inside was good. The room was nice and the breakfast was really good. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel and a major Tube station a short walk away. There is a Mark & Spencer (M&S) mini grocery in the Tube station if you want to grab an easy takeaway meal. We walked a lot and never had any issues with safety.

Not a great experience - the room is very dated and not that comfortable. Definitely better options at the same rate. The sound of the plumbing was loud and disturbing in the night. Breakfast was not great - fizzy melon and limited options. I would avoid.

My parents and I stayed here to spend a few days in London before continuing on to France. The room was very clean and the sofa bed was already set up for us when we arrived. The included breakfast was one of the best I’ve ever had at a Hampton property (I have stayed at several in the US and one in Amsterdam). The location is great if you wish to use the Tube since Waterloo station is just down the street. My only complaint was an issue with the bill. I had booked the room and my card was charged upon check in. My dad wanted (unbeknownst to me) to cover the cost of the room so requested that his card be used instead the night before we checked out. Somehow the charges on my card were not refunded and my dad’s card was charged an additional £700 on top of the agreed upon rate. I managed to resolve this after a little back and forth with the front desk agents the morning we checked out. The front desk agents were not sure where the additional charge came from and did agree that it was not correct. In the end, the correct amount was charged.
