Detailed Reviews
My partner and I had the most pleasant stay at The Rockwell. The location of the hotel is excellent (5 mins walk to Earl’s court which is located on the Circle, District, and Piccadilly Lines). Hotel room we got was also very large for its price, and housekeeping ensured that the room was spick and span daily. The front desk staffs are also very attentive and the hotel atmosphere was very nice and cozy. We particularly enjoyed the garden patio because of the nice English summer, allowing us to enjoy the outdoor space in privacy.

The Rockwell is in a great location, only 5 mins walk from Earl's Court tube station and close to shops, restaurants and coffee shops. The hotel is casual/boutique and the front desk staff are very friendly and helpful and they always greet you when you come in or go out. The Superior Double room was fairly spacious and I was assigned to the larger room without even having to ask. That was nice! The shower stall is a bit small though and has nowhere to put anything. Will definitely stay here again.

The price in November was obviously lower than it is usual for this hotel (it was just a moment after easing of covid rules for travellers) so considering the price the value was great. Earl's Court or Hammersmith are usually the areas where I stay when I am in London and I cannot recall staying in such generous place in terms of size and cleanliness of the room in that area for that price.
Yes, furniture might be a little outdated, but there was everything needed, clean and the bathroom seemed refubrished and was fresh and clean as well.
Even though the hotel was suprisingly quiet I got the room directly next to elevator which meant that starting from 6 am my wall was constantly bumping and banging everytime the elevator moved. But I am quite used to it, seems that happens to me everytime everywhere. ;-)
Bed might be a little harder.
I would consider staying there again but if the price would be 20% and more higher there are definitely other options with better value in the area.

Very good hotel, a few minutes from the Earl's Court underground station (one bus station is right in front of the hotel). Clean and nice rooms, with all necessary functionalities. Very good Internet. Super customer service and attention to the client: they respended very fast and effectively to every request.
As I noted from other reviews, the doors CAN be locked.
Great breakfast; I would advice to go a la carte and with 10-15 pounds you can get a lot. Excellent food, very good quality (and not the usual cheap-average continental breakfast). Thanks for that!

So we was looking at the image on booking.com and then looking at the actual catfish that was called the rockwell! Must admit guys you got the one star because we couldn’t give none! They put us in a room next to reception! Awkward as hell.. then we entered the room to no pillowcases! And pillows thrown into a corner! I was slightly worried that the room had only been half turned! To then go back to receptionist to be told ‘oh sorry we don’t have any clean pillowcase’s yet’
Then when they did have clean pillowcases, me and my partner had just shared an intimate moment to then have housemaid come into the room with out knocking or saying hello to just stare at us.. then after a moment gathered she asked ‘would you like your pillowcases?’ In total shock i just said yes!..
After the first few hours of being there.. me and my partner notices that the noise from surrounding people was like an amplifier in the room! We then had a row ourselves over leaving or not..
The only good thing that the rockwell did do was to compliment my partner when we was checking in, only time one of us smiled being there!
Thank you and hope you learn from failures, as we learned not to return! All the best in the future

A 3 night stay while visiting various museums. It's a good location for tubes and walking to museums, loads of places to eat round the corner on Earls Court Road. Big basement bedroom with everything you'd expect, good bathroom but veneer fading on some cupboards and the shower took ages to warm up. Friendly staff and a decent breakfast with very nice "build your own" cereals and seeds - though I didn't much like the dry sausages. The air con was fine and not needed overnight, we wondered if it would be stufy in hot weather.

The Rockwell is nicely situated a 5 min walk from Earls Court Underground station on the Piccadilly line. It looks fantastic from the street view and the lobby is attractive, welcoming and cosy. The staff on the desk were very friendly and even though we were half hour early they let us check into our room as it was ready.
We were in room 407 and it was a cosy room that had all the amenities we required for our overnight stay. There was a previous review to say this room was noisy but we did not find this to be the case and both slept very well.
The bed was firm and supportive and the bathroom was equipped with all the toiletries and added extras you could want.
The hotel was located in a good location to get the tube to Covent Garden for our meal out and a good location from the theatres which was what we had booked overnight for.
We slept very well and both enjoyed breakfast the next morning with friendly staff.
Thanks Rockwell - I’d stay again when visiting London.

We booked the Rockwell Hotel as it was close to the station (15 minutes walk to Hotel ) and a 30 minute walk to Harrods.
The reception was a little tired and dated but overall clean and tidy. Staff were nice on the reception and we arrived early so we were able to leave our suitcase there while we shopped.
We booked a garden room which gave up a bigger room but when sitting outside for a quiet drink, we had people occupying the rooms either side so wasn't very private as we could see each other. When we left the room to go out for an evening meal, I always check that the door is locked behind us. When we checked there was a fault with the lock. We had a gentleman from reception try to lock it but it wasn't working. He quickly mentioned that they had no other rooms available and said it would be fine as we had a tiny safe in our room. We had bought Christmas Presents from Harrods which would clearly not fit in there. That is not acceptable. He wasn't concerned for our safety or our personal belongings. It was 6pm in the evening so wasn't able to book another hotel so our evening out wasn't as relaxed as it should have been as we knew our room was unsafe. Would Not be using this hotel again.

The Rockwell is located in a nice, safe and convenient area; a 5 minute walk from Earls Court tube station. The hotel is clean and modern, with the reception area and bar feeling cosy. Unfortunately, the service lefts it down. Perhaps they were understaffed during our stay, but nobody was at the reception desk on two occasions when we required assistance. I waited there for over 10 minutes before somebody showed up (I believe they may also be running the bar). We had booked a superior / deluxe double room, however, we had been given a mezzanine. The room wasn’t very large, but it did have the mezzanine level with the bed on it, up some very narrow stairs. I am 6’5” so this room really wasn’t ideal for me. When I went to the reception to query this, the lady behind the desk wasn’t very helpful and insisted that the room that we had been given was a deluxe double. I advised that the room we had was very different to the description and photos of a deluxe double room on the website, but she just wasn’t willing to move us. She just stared at me after asking “you don’t like the room?” and me advising that it’s definitely a mezzanine, and therefore, not what we had booked. The heating was also a slight issue. When we finally got the heating system to work, it made a very loud clanking/shaking sound, as the metal vibrated. This made getting to sleep more difficult. Overall, the hotel was nice and good value. Unfortunately, the room and service were disappointing.

The Rockwell is perfectly adequate for those visiting west London. It was about a 25 minute walk to the Royal Albert Hall and easy access via bus to Buckingham Palace.
I wasn't expenting too much from the single room as I had read previous reviews and, yes, there was staining to the carpet and chair which could easily be remedied by the hotel spending a few pounds.
Some noise from the road but that's to be expected in London.
The room itself was adequate - nice to have a fridge (especially handy as there is a supermarket less than a minutes walk). I wanted to use the second pillow from the wardrobe....there was no case on it, I went down to ask reception to be advised there would be a pillowcase in the wardrobe - went back up, there wasn't! Tried phoning and phone didn't work so called on the mobile and reception brought one up.
Good wifi downstairs in reception, could not get it to connect in single room 203.
Only one sachet of tea / coffee (but more bags given when requested).
On the whole, reasonably priced hotel, easily accessible, good reception, lovely common areas, room could do with a little TLC.
With regards to the bribe, I thought this was actually not permitted by review sites and mentioned this to the receptionist who said it was a promotion for those who left 5* reviews...lol, I'll leave that there ;)

The hotel room I was in was pretty quiet... not large but size was not a necessity. It was comfortable.. I had a window too.
There's an hair dryer but not an iron
Yes, the Rockwell has lifts. the Breakfast was fine. I had excellent scrambled egg. Good range of alternatives. Air conditioning worked well.
Hi, we had a garden room with a double bed ( possibly Queen size ) and it was great to sit out on a sunny day but weren`t concerned about security although potentially someone with serious intent would have to climb over the garden wall at the back of the hotel beer garden and access that through the hotel lobby - enjoy !
