Not for me. Nice location; and some nice communal area in hotel. I paid a bit more to have an executive room which it turns out was in the basement of the hotel, underground. It smelt of damp, it wasn’t overly clean and the bathroom needs fully replacing as the grouting was dirty and shower useless , incredibly hot then cold. Noisy room, with strange plumbing and noises from the communal areas upstairs. The staff were pleasant enough but no definitely not a 4 star hotel: I would say 2 maybe 3 at a push. For £250 a night it was not value for money. Noticed I was asked for Payment before I entered my room. A more appropriate price would be around the £75 a night mark. Not terrible but not one I will go back to.

Beware of the cute exterior, and quaint interior pictures, because this hotel does not have basic amenities at times - like an ongoing problem with a broken lift. We were relocated from a lovely 4th floor room, with a view to the street, and the proper standing showing we had booked and paid for at time of check out to a basement sub-terrain room that was not clean, had mold in the bathroom and no ability to see up to the street, because we had to keep our curtains closed. We tried to address the issue of a partial refund for this degrade in service and room style and we were met with a stone silence campaign by their hotel management.

A unique historical boutique hotel in the heart of London near the Wallace collection and Selfridges. Relaxed and friendly, the rooms are immaculate and comfortable, some with open air windows. Enjoy the neighbouring pubs and restaurants with a saunter up Mediterranean Middle Eastern Edgware rd nearby a must!

We stay at the hotel every time we travel to London, we were always pleased with the stay and had nothing negative to stay. This time things were very different, the lift didnt work and would be fixed in 2 month, the hotel staff knew this and didnt update us. we have received rooms on the upper floor, In addition to that there was no breakfast this time, the toilet worked funny. We dont plan to come back.

This hotel is in a great location! Close to lots of shops in central London, as well as hyde park. It's also very close to the tube and busses, making getting around the city quite easy. The rooms were clean, although the bathrooms could use some updating. Having working Ac in the room is a huge bonus as it was quite warm when we visted. My only gripe was that the elevators were not working for our entire stay there (3 nights). We had to haul our luggage up and down 3 flights of stairs. There is also very little sound-proofing so we could hear doors closing at all hours of the night. We also heard people walking around the room above us wuite easily as well (something to consider if you're a light sleeper). All in all, this is certainly one of the better hotels that we've stayed at.

PROS The location is excellent. Walking distance to Hyde Park, public transportation, restaurants and shopping. CONS The elevator was broken and we were located on the 4th floor. The stairway was incredibly narrow. If you have mobility issues at all, this is going to make it near impossible to get to your room. Staff was friendly but not very efficient. We asked for them to call us when our room was ready and they didn't. Complimentary breakfast was neglected. We went to breakfast right around 0800 and the coffee pot was empty and eggs were cold. Again the staff was pleasant and apologized, but failed to replinish the food or coffee while we were there. Light fixtures were stained in the room and there was an acrid smell from the shower. When we looked in we could see an orange mildew all over the caulking. For 300$+ a night you'd expect a clean room.

Room Tip: Find out if their elevator is still broken and try to get a room on 2nd or 3rd floor if it is.
