A absolute dump! The room was filthy. The toilet was disgusting and needed multiple flushes just to get tissue down! The brush was covered in poop. The shower was disgusting. Tv and WiFi did not work. We were on the ground floor and as I was a lady on my own with a child we couldn’t have the windows open and the heat was just unbearable. We tried to open the windows while we were awake but the frames were so rotten that the glass was coming away from the frame. I asked to move to another room but I was told they were fully booked. Lies! My husband rang from home to be told they had vacancies available. Just a all round terrible experience. Book at your peril!

We paid £55 a night and stayed 3 nights in what I can only describe as a cupboard the bathroom was so tiny you had to sit on the toilet sideways with your feet practically in the shower in the room we had a very small "double" bed a fridge a wardrobe and a TV The wardrobe door was broken and the drawers were filthy the freezer part of the fridge had purple ice melted in it and the fridge had a very out of date Greek yogurt left in it If you laid in bed you couldn't see the TV anyway The bathroom hadn't been cleaned as there was a used soap and a shower gel left in there along with the hair Went to the shop and got spray and antiseptic wipes as couldn't find anyone to speak to The breakfast room was so cramped people had to stand up so you could get round the chairs Breakfast consists of toast yes toast don't wait for a fry up its not going to happen no continental just toast oh and cornflakes a bit stale but there was cornflakes coffee tea and orange juice which my daughter said had a weird taste As I have never left a bad review ever I will have to leave a positive point it was a 5 minute walk from the tube station if we hadn't been going to an event and hadn't paid up front I would have left this hotel

This hotel is nasty, a friend and I found the cheapest room in the area, we were not expecting much. We booked through Booking.com and were assured that there would be a manned front desk 24/7. We’d also assumed that we would be able to open our window at night without being broken into. We were wrong. We got in from the event we attended just before midnight and went to our ground floor room to sleep. At most hotels you can leave your window open in relative comfort, however we were awoken by a man who was LEANING IN OUR OPEN WINDOW, and staring at us. For reasons unbeknown to us, someone had poked his head through the curtains, moved them out the way and leant on the window seal. He didn’t climb in, we seemed to have woken up just in time. This bloke had seen that our window was open and looked to either break in or simply watch us sleep, his motives were unclear. It was 27 degrees outside and the room was hotter, we assumed that we could have the window open without people breaking in. When I saw him, me and my friend jumped up in a panic and ran towards the window shouting at him as it was pretty terrifying. We left the window open as we were unsure where he went, there was no one at the front desk at this time. Around 40 minutes later we could him hear returning to our window, there was a glass bottle smashed and he started making strange noises, similar to what you might assume a ghost would sound like. Behind the curtain, we watched him slam our window shut and then open it again, he went to pop his head around the curtain again and we ran towards him once more to warn him off. He then said “I’ve been haunting you.” We suggested not so politely, that he should leave immediately, his response was that we should “Call the police” as he swore at us and left. Needless to say we closed the windows and didn’t sleep for the next couple of hours, we checked the front desk again, no one there. My friend and I went to the 24 hour shop to get a drink. This is where it gets interesting. When we got back and opened the main door (no one on the front desk again), there was another customer who was distressed and was telling us that something happened. We went with him to his room, which is at the back by the car park (ours is at the front which looks onto the street), he explained to us that someone had successfully climbed in through their window and grabbed a bag, the daughter and the wife of the gentlemen were woken up and the man escaped though the same window, before throwing a chair at a car that was parked outside! We checked outside later on, after breakfast and there was a mustang with a broken stool rested against it upside down. As you can imagine they were pretty shaken up, someone had actually got into their room where the family was sleeping to try to steal. The gentleman said he had called the police and then we both returned to our rooms as no one was available. It was around 5am at this point, breakfast starts at 8am so we thought we would wait it out and speak to the owners in the morning. We didn’t sleep. 8am rolls around and we go and have our breakfast, it was busy so we waited until someone was free a bit later on to avoid causing a commotion; we pulled staff member aside (the owners were not present) and explained the situation. The other gentlemen who had the bad experience had told this staff member what had happened to him, we told the staff our story as well and he stood there with a complete lack of empathy, he said “We can call the police and let them know?” We requested to look at the CCTV footage, as they have a monitor which points directly at the outside of our room and the other room which was broken into! He said that the cameras do not record they are only live. He went on to say “I am sorry about that” and “You didn’t have any stuff taken?” which frankly isn’t the issue here. The way the situation has been handled is awful. We decided that since we had no sleep and our safety was breached, that we deserve a refund - he told us to go to booking.com to sort it out. We can get past the cupboard-sized room, tiny toilet, horrible bed and overall lack of cleanliness, like I said, we weren’t expecting much. To summarise: we can ignore the fact that the hotel is dirty, outdated and genuinely a bad hotel, but the fact that there was someone that had physically come within three feet of where me and my friend were sleeping is terrible. We don’t know if it was one person, or a couple of people, if they knew each other, or if our room-invader was just someone on the street who saw an opportunity to scare people. What’s worse is that the family are were staying for another two days but moved upstairs, which means that they will put someone else in the room which is likely to be robbed. When we were talking to him, it was clear that this sort of thing had happened before, the family made sure to tell the other residents in the hotel whilst they were having breakfast and we told them our story as well. This is by far the worst experience I have had in a hotel, it was a scary experience for everyone involved. DO NOT STAY HERE.

A good budget hotel with nice, helpful and courteous staff. Good price for an ensuite room. Breakfast was okay. Great location close to Turnham Green underground station with lots of restaurants, shops and fast food outlets within walking distance of the hotel. Responsive room service.

For £36 p/n for a single en-suite in a leafy, but accessible by tube, part of West London, this is a very good deal. Yes, the hotel has all the hallmarks of a place that needs investment - it’s a bit smelly, the windows, carpets, curtains etc.. are old and shabby - however, when money is eventually invested into this hotel, you’ll be paying three times the price. I found it clean, warm and the staff are smiley and obliging. Yes, the rooms are small and the bathrooms tiny, but the shower works and there’s hot water and a hairdryer if you ask for one. There’s also a kettle and a fridge in the room, all working. The breakfast, as you are told upon check-in, is basic - but you get as much toast, butter, jams and marmalade as you want and milk and cornflakes, and filter cofffee and reasonable orange juice (it’s not ‘squash’ it’s from concentrate). Really, this hotel is VERY good value for money. If, when on holiday, you like to hang out in your hotel room and wallow in pamper luxuries, don’t come here, but go to a hotel that promises to provide the same (and pay for them). If you want a hotel just as a place dump your stuff and return to to sleep at night, this place more than does the job. For a short stay in London, where you may want to spend your money on enjoying all that london has to offer, rather than on a pricey hotel room, then this is for you. My only real complaint was that the WiFi was unreliable. There is a Starbucks down the road if you get stuck however. Honestly, I’ve paid more for less. This is a good budget (no frills) hotel.
