If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.

Dear Jenny, Thank you for staying with us – we are glad you enjoyed our prime location. We were very sorry to hear that you were inconvenienced by a local area power cut which affected the hotel, an event unfortunately beyond our control. Thank you also for sharing your experience with our staff. We pride ourselves on our warm guest service, so it was disappointing to hear we didn’t meet your expectations this time. Thank you for letting us know and be assured we will use your feedback to improve. We do hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back to The Grand at Trafalgar Square in the future.

Where should I start - Check-in was poor. People in the hotel were arrogant. Receptionist couldn’t look at me when talking to me. Power cut all night which meant the loud heater went on and went off whilst watching TV. There was no info provided about why and no one called.
